NCAA Eligibility Info
If you are involved in athletics at Valhalla and are interested in competing at the college level, I highly recommend clicking the NCSA - College Recruitment link for information about the NCAA Eligibility Center process.
This is a great opportunity to create a profile to plan and prepare for this possibility; there's a place for you to play.
Infinite Campus/Parent Portal
Parent Portal is your access to the district's school information system. An account was created for you when you completed your registration. If you need support using the portal, check out these resources:
Letters of Recommendation
Seniors, are you applying to private or out-of-state colleges and need a letter of recommendation? Make sure you request one as soon as possible and provide your recommenders with a brag sheet. We also have an optional parent brag sheet available if you would like to use it. Deadlines are coming up quickly, so don’t wait!
On Common App, you can find the recommendation section under “My Colleges” and then click on a specific school. Please make sure to follow up with your teachers and counselor to provide them with a deadline and all necessary information. Even if you do not need a letter, counselors still need to provide certain documents if you are applying on Common App, but we can only do that once students invite us on their application. Come see us in counseling if you have questions.
Introducing CaliforniaColleges.edu
We are excited to announce a new college and career planning platform to all of our Valhalla students called CaliforniaColleges.edu (CCGI). We will be using this tool with all grade levels to help students explore their options after high school. Please read this letter for more information.
Seniors, if you are currently applying to four year universities, we highly encourage you to register your account if you have not already. CCGI will allow you to link all of your academic data, saving you a lot of time! Come see us in the counseling office for help or see the tutorial videos linked below.
