The stuffies are here! We love meeting all of our patrons' special stuffed animals as they get dropped off for their weekend at the library. The latest to drop off a stuffie is at closing time on Friday. Registration is now full.
Miss Maddie runs a very fun family story time on Thursday afternoons at 2:00. Last week, this sweet family took home pet balloons!
Will you be attending the Danville Chamber of Commerce Awards on Saturday night? If so, be sure to cheer loud for our very own Mr. Andy, nominated for Young Professional of the Year, the honor that went to Miss Maddie last year!
Yours in literacy and in life,

Juvenile Fiction (JF Bow)
After Avalyn nearly died from an asthma attack, her parents moved her to the clear, dry air of Clear Canyon City, Arizona. And for the last ten years, she’s been able to breathe. That is, until Adam showed up.
Quiet and unkempt, Adam is an instant target for the bullies who have plagued Avalyn and her friends. As Avalyn gets to know him, she begins to suspect that the sudden, strange increase in dust storms around town are somehow connected to his emotions. She thinks his problems may be even worse at home, especially when massive black walls of dust start rolling in after the school day. Will she find a way to stand up for her new friend? Her life may just depend on it.
Juvenile PIcture Book (JP Sav)
Dr. Morley absolutely loves jellyfish. Her entire life, she has been fascinated by one specific species, a legendary creature that no one has ever seen. Does the giant Arctic jellyfish even exist? After years of research, Dr. Morley and her crew don their red parkas and set off to icy northern waters in hopes of finding the mysterious creature. The Arctic Circle is filled with wonders: playful orcas, the glowing aurora borealis, and formidable ice shelves—but will Dr. Morley find what she is searching for? Or, perhaps, will it find her? Bringing the stark and breathtaking beauty of the Arctic to life, author-illustrator Chloe Savage’s whimsical and charming adventure into the unknown is sure to capture the imaginations of young explorers.
