Thank you

We want to give a huge thank you to our PTO for organizing our first annual Patriot Fest! So much hard work and planning went into that event, and it was an enormous success! Our families came out in force, and everyone had a wonderful time. We look forward to growing this event in the coming years!

Student Dress

As the weather warms up, please be mindful of student clothing. Per Robertson County Board of Education policy, students shall dress and groom in a clean, neat, and modest manner so as not to distract or interfere with the operation of the school.

Cell Phones

We have been having issues with some students not abiding by our cell phone policy. Students are not allowed to use cell phones, smart watches, etc. on our campus. Please remind your students of this policy.

Restrooms

We have been having issues recently with students vandalizing our bathrooms by throwing wet paper towels on the walls and ceilings, stuffing paper towels and toilet paper in the toilets and urinals, leaving water running in the sinks, and leaving messes in the floor. Please talk with your student concerning these issues. There will be consequences for any student participating in these violations.

Tardies

If your student arrives at school later than 7:15am, you must park and come into the front office to sign them in. You may not drop your child off and have them walk in alone. Students need to arrive on time each day.

Attendance

When your student is out, please remember to send a doctor or parent note when they return to school so that absences may be marked excused.

3rd Grade Parents

We wanted to inform you that we must await the completion of the state report before we can accurately provide you with your student's Aimsweb scores. Upon the completion of this report, you will receive a copy of your student's reading scores that will be sent home.

In third grade, students have a goal to solidify their ability to read fluently and comprehend what they read. By the end of third grade, we want them to be ready to apply their reading skills to standards-based tasks, such as determining the main idea of a text and explaining how the details support the main idea. This additional layer of learning can be challenging for students in third grade. Some ways that you can support your students are by having them read the same passage over and over to build fluency, practice sounding out words together, and by asking them questions about what they are reading.
