REACH Scholarship Winner Jenifer Dominguez-Morales
Congratulations to 8th grade student Jenifer Dominguez-Morales for being selected as a 2024 REACH Scholar! Jenifer is the recipient of a $10,000 scholarship to any school in the University System of Georgia. Until high school graduation, Jenifer will have an assigned mentor and an academic coach to support her success. Many colleges choose to match the REACH program, giving students the opportunity for a $20,000 scholarship. We are very proud of Jenifer and look forward to watching her continue to excel!
Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) is designed to encourage academically promising middle and high school students to persist in their educational pursuits. Students participating in REACH Georgia are provided with the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school, access college, and achieve post-secondary success. Only 6 students in Fulton County Schools are selected for this program that supports 26 school districts in the state.
Please take the FCS Annual Perception Survey - we need your input!
As of November 13, we have had only 42 parent responses. We have 532 households in our school. PLEASE take the survey!
At Fulton County Schools, we truly value the feedback from our parents about their experiences with the district. That is why I encourage all parents to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey. This survey allows parents the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions.
The survey is anonymous and confidential. Please complete one survey per school where you have one or more students enrolled. The survey will remain open through Friday, November 22.
The Annual Perception Survey is currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, and Punjabi. If you or your family would like to take it in a language that is not listed, please email your child’s principal.
Laptop Fines
Students who have a lost/damaged laptop or accessory will not be able to get replacement item until the applicable fine is paid. We have been sending notices to parents of students who currently have an unpaid fine.
Students are responsible for the care of their school-issued laptop and accessories. Use of the protective case is required. If the device is damaged, lost or stolen, the fines listed below will be applied to the student’s account.
FINES:
- Lost/stolen, $250
- Damaged, $100
- Accessories – Lost or damaged, $30 for each accessory (charger, case)
