Sponsor a Spartan kicked off Thursday and we are excited to say we're about 1/3 of the way to our goal! Sponsor a Spartan is an in-house fundraiser that allows us to keep 100% of the donations instead of paying an outside company to help us raise funds. Donations can be made directly on the band website, using Venmo, Zelle, or by mailing a check to the SLHS Band Boosters (9550 Spring Green Blvd, STE. 408-120, 77494)
Please encourage your students to continue to reach out to at least 15 contacts. Below is the link to our Sponsor a Spartan letter. You can simply paste the link into an email or text along with a sweet note about how awesome your student and their band program are. Thank you for your cooperation!
Water and Gatorade
As we gear up for the first football game (Aug. 30), WE ARE IN NEED of cases of water and Gatorade! Our students, directors, and parent volunteers at each game and competition consume
water and Gatorade so we go through it quickly, especially in the heat we experience during the first few football games.
Donations may be dropped off in the band hall by the chaperone closet (the door with the 7L Bus magnets on it!). Thanks for your help in keeping the Spartan Band Program hydrated!
Uniform Requirements
There are several mandatory items that your student will need for each football game. If a student is missing any of these items on game day, they will not be allowed to participate and will receive a zero grade. Please review the following list of required items and ensure your student will have them every game day. (This does not apply to Color Guard. Mrs. Click will provide separate instructions for Color Guard students through the SportsYou app.)
First two football games (August 30th and September 5th)
Navy 7L band shirt
Black athletic shorts (length must be in compliance with school dress code)
7L Band ball cap
Athletic shoes
Instrument and gallon water jug
All remaining football games
Black compression shorts and black compression shirt
Long black socks
Black marching shoes (will be distributed to students soon)
Black gloves
7L Band ball cap
7L garment bag (students MUST have this to check out their uniform)
Instrument and gallon water jug
If you are new to our program and have paid your deposit, your student will receive the duffel bag, garment bag, navy 7L shirt, 7L baseball cap, and black marching gloves. Order Your Mum Today!
There limitied quantities of Color Guard Mums! Only 22 remain! There are also limited quanities of Band Bears. To ensure you get a bear, order today! The button below will take you to the Mum Shoppe website. Samples of these amazing mums are also on display in band hall.
