Senior Tag Information
We know that Senior Tag is in full swing . This event is not sponsored by TWHS nor is it condoned. There are behaviors that could lead to injury and/or legal trouble. We would rather not have to worry about this event, but we feel it is important to share information with our families.
It is important to know that each year we have a few people from the community reporting reckless driving, indecent exposure, etc. More recently there have been people sharing videos of poor behavior caught on doorbell cameras.
We ask that you sit down with your senior to review the consequences that this could have for them. It is important to understand the severity of this event if actions are unlawful.
Any student playing the game on school campus will be subject to disciplinary actions.
Freshman Mentor Online Applications & Teacher Recommendations Due Tuesday April 22nd at 3:20 pm.
Attention Sophomore and Junior Parents/Guardians:
We are now accepting applications for Freshman Mentors for the 2025-2026 school year. Freshman Mentor responsibilities include: easing the transition for all incoming 9th grade students, providing academic and organizational support, and attending a variety of social extracurricular activities to engage with the freshman class.
Students can access the online application now through their respective Schoology pages for the Classes of 2026 and 2027 or by clicking 2025-26 Freshman Mentor Application. Students are also required to get three current teachers to complete an online recommendation for them. Both the online application and the teacher recommendations are due by Tuesday April 22nd at 3:20 pm.
Please note current mentors must re-apply for next year. Priority consideration will be given to returning senior mentors and rising juniors. First time senior applicants may be screened through an interview process. Please know that not all applicants will be accepted into the program, so we encourage students to put extra time and thought into their application. If students have any questions, students should contact Jordan Cowgill, jcowgill@wscloud.org

Safety and Violence Education Students Act
State Law requires school districts to deliver annual lessons for Ohio’s 6-12 students on Suicide Awareness and Prevention, Safety Training and Violence, and Social Inclusion. The law is referred to as the Safety and Violence Education Students Act or the SAVE Act.
In order to meet the requirements of the law, we will deliver three separate lessons during Home Room setting. While the legislation requires Ohio schools to teach these topics, given the sensitive nature of the topic, families do have the right to opt their student out of receiving the instruction. Should you prefer your child to be excused, please contact your student’s school principal or counselor. Students not participating in the lesson will be provided an alternate location in the school for supervised school activities.
The SAVE Act requires schools to use state-approved curriculum. Worthington Schools will utilize materials from the Sandy Hook Promise Program which includes the Start WIth Hello and Say Something: Suicide Prevention Program. If you have additional questions regarding the requirements of the law or instructional materials, please contact Principal Josh Almanson jalmanson@wscloud.org 614 450 6200

SENIORS: Diploma Presenter Request Form
In order to request the person you would like as your diploma presenter, you must turn in your request by emailing Mrs. Wilson directly at mwilson@wscloud.org.
There is NO need to ask the person you are requesting ahead of time. The diploma presenter coordinator, Mrs. Wilson, will do that for you. Due to the time and effort involved in inviting these individuals and in organizing this addition to the Commencement ceremony, your cooperation in meeting this deadline is imperative. If you do not request a guest presenter, a member of the Worthington Board of Education will present your diploma. Please see Mrs. Wilson, Room A235, or email her at mwilson@wscloud.org, with any questions concerning this process.
FLOCK TALK FRIDAY

We appreciate your support of our security measures.
Attendance Office Procedures for TWHS Students
Please notify the Attendance Office if you know your student will be absent from school. Call or email ahead to pre-excuse for appointments and ask your student to pick up a pass in the Attendance Office ahead of time – we prefer not to interrupt classes by calling rooms.

TWHS ATHLETICS & CO-CURRICULAR
Athletic Eligibility Reminders
Have a student athlete? Please read the athletic eligibility guidelines for BOTH OHSAA and Worthington Schools listed below. These apply for all Athletics and Marching Band along with the performance and competition activities noted on our list of Clubs and Activities.
- Students must be working towards earning 2.5 credits in the preceding grading period in order to be eligible for participation.
- At the conclusion of the quarter and semester, students must be passing 2.5 credits with a 60% or higher.
- PE courses (Strength Training, Yoga, Wellness for Life, and Flex and Tone) do not count towards athletic eligibility.
- College Credit Plus, online courses, and DACC enrollment are all great opportunities but they come with responsibility. Make sure your student still meets the minimum credit requirement.
- If you are enrolled in an online Treca course, you must demonstrate that you are 50% completed with the course, and passing by the end of the 1st or 3rd quarters. You must then complete the course by the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters, which is the end of the fall and spring semester.
