Glenn Public School Eagle Post
July 2024
Superintendent's Nest
Summertime has arrived! I hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and having fun outside. I am looking forward to festivals, parades, and fireworks! We have the office open, Monday-Thursday, 9:00-4:00. (But we are closed July 1st-5th.)
The PTC held a rummage sale at the school last Friday which brought in some cool finds which were up for grabs. This was a very successful fundraiser for the PTC! You can also catch the PTC and myself at the Lemonade Stand on July 6th from 11-3 pm at Sparkle & Spice Boutique in South Haven for another fundraiser. I will also be at the Glenn Square Social on Saturday, July 6th at 5 pm to give out Barden’s slices of pie for a donation going towards the Glenn School Scholarship during their event. The Glenn Community Center is always looking for volunteers for their upcoming Pancake Breakfasts; please let me know if you would like to help, I will be there.
We do have positions available, so please send people to our website for more information.
Please remember to have your child read daily for at least 20 minutes. This can be a book, newspaper, magazine, etc. Your local library has an abundance of books to choose from and also a Summer Reading program to join! Remember: Readers are Leaders!
Enjoy the rest of your summer! Save the dates:
Lemonade Stand: July 6th, 11 am - 3 pm, Sparkle & Spice
Car Wash: Saturday, August 3rd, 10 am-1 pm
Sincerely,
Jamie Walle
Superintendent/Principal
