Why sign up?
Enhance student engagement and promote independence by using technology in your classroom! This workshop will build your repertoire of resources to reach all learners, no matter what level of ability.
Participants will learn about and be provided time to explore web-based tools, games, and interactive programs to differentiate and customize instruction, while increasing student participation and motivation. Time will also be spent focusing on utilizing social media to engage student learning through programs like Skype and Twitter. This course will present materials best suited for grades 3-6, but open to anyone interested.
Not "tech savvy"? Not to worry....all participants will be provided time to explore each tool presented and leave with an expanded technology toolkit that can be integrated into the classroom with ease.

A: It is not necessary to bring your own device as a computer will be made available to all participants, however if preferred, you are more than welcome to.
Q: Do I need to be tech saavy to take this course?
A: Absolutely not. This course is designed for varying tech abilities. There will be hands on opportunities to explore and get comfortable with each of the tools presented in the course.
Q: Do I have to be currently teaching grades 3-6 to attend?
A: This course will present materials geared towards learners in grades 3-6 but can be adapted for other grade levels. In addition to classroom teachers, ERR, ILP, Resource Room, Speech, Reading, ENL and other special area teachers are invited to attend.
Q: Can I still take the course if I don't need the credits?
A: Yes! This course can be taken for 1 inservice credit or as an audit.
Q: How many spaces are available?
A: The course will be capped at 20 participants.
