Attention 6th Grade Parents!
Mandated 6th Grade Physicals and MCV and Tdap Vaccines Required
Dear Parents/Guardians of current 6th graders,
As part of our health mandates for students, 6th graders are required to have physical exam on record.
Typically, at the 6th grade physical Tdap and MCV immunizations are given. These two vaccines are state mandated in order for a student to enter the first day of 7th grade. The nurse’s office needs to receive them ASAP.
Once a year our school offers a free school physical exam. You must give permission via phone, email or in writing to take advantage of this exam. Permission needs to be received by February 7, 2025.
**Vaccines are NOT offered at this school exam; therefore you would need to schedule an outside appointment for those.
Please check your child's immunization records to ensure they have received both the MCV and Tdap vaccines. If your child has not yet received these vaccinations, please contact your pediatrician for an appointment at this time. Also, many healthcare facilities offer these vaccines on a walk-in basis, and some pharmacies may also provide vaccination services. (One resource: Bucks County Department of Health, located at 7321 New Falls Rd in Levittown offers the immunizations by appointment only. They can be reached at 267-580-3510). Once obtained, send a copy of the updated immunization record to the school nurse. Please confirm receipt to avoid exclusion for the first day of 7th grade. Also, keep a copy for your own records.
If you are unsure if the school has these documents, please call today to confirm.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Warm regards,
Brooke Martell

TreeHouse Peer Support Groups
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are happy to announce that the Treehouse Peer Support Group will be returning to the Pennsbury Middle School campus for the 24-25 school year.
Treehouse staff will be facilitating a support group at each of our middle schools for students who may be experiencing a hardship or struggle in their lives. The goal of the peer support group is to create a space where students feel safe sharing what’s going on in their lives and receive support from peers and adult leaders (see the attached flyer). The group will meet one time per week during the school day throughout the school year. If you are interested in having your child participate in the Treehouse Peer Support Group please click this link Treehouse Permission. Groups will begin on Tuesday October 1st, 2024.
If you have any questions please reach out to your school social worker.

Students are welcome to participate in intramurals, clubs, and sports!
- PIAA Sports-Students in 7th and 8th-grade need a PIAA physical form in order to participate in school-sponsored sports.
- Clubs/Intramurals-Any student is welcome to participate in a club or intramural. These happen throughout the year based on student interest and staff schedules. Clubs and intramurals will be shared on our morning announcements. They will also be posted on our Daily Announcement slide show that can be found via our school website. Students must have a signed permission slip in order to participate in a club or intramural.
- Students can take a late bus home. On Tuesday and Thursday we have a 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM late bus. This will be determined by the club facilitator. Most sports teams practice until 5:00 PM. Coaches will communicate practice and game schedules. Please review the late bus run information below. Just a reminder, that the stop may not be the same stop that they would typically take in the AM or PM.
