ELC at George Earle Weekly Update

Next week is Fire Prevention week. We will have classrooms visits from firefighters where they will be learning all about fire prevention, lessons and stories in the classrooms and library about fire safety, and the ever so important what to do if there is a fire at your house. Now is the great time to talk about your fire escape plans in your home. Remember- fires won't wait- Plan your escape!! We will also have fire fighters popping in all week long to have lunch with the different classes in the cafe. The week will end with a visit from a firetruck for all the kids to visit.

Our kindergarten students will be taking the Mind Play as our Dyslexia screener beginning this week. the week of Oct. 10th. It will be taken in 3 sessions.

A huge thank you to our PTO for putting on Fall Fest for our ELC families! A huge thank you as well to all the staff, their kiddos, and the older Brickie Students & JROTC that volunteered their time to make the event run so smoothly. Everyone had an absolute blast and fun was had by all!

It’s that time of year where the weather is changing. Remember those bags of emergency clothes in your child’s backpack? Please swap out the summer clothes for fall clothing. Please also make sure your child’s emergency bag has socks and underwear in it. If your child doesn’t have a bag in their backpack- please make them one!!! One outfit, one pair of socks, and one pair of underwear. This is for any emergency your child may encounter here at school, not just bathroom accidents. You never know when they may slip in mud or chocolate milk will attack at lunch!!
