Welcome to Year 10!
Bismillah!!
Assalamu Alaikum Tarbiyah Academy Families!
Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic school year! I am so excited to kick off another school year with all of you, and what will be our 10th year of operation! It is so exciting to move into sealing an entire decade of Islamic work here at Tarbiyah Academy. This work has required sacrifice and immense efforts from the TA Board of Directors and TA Faculty & Staff, as we established foundational work, pioneered new initiatives, piloted new programs, expanded our faculty & staff, expanded our facility, reinvented how we teach and learn during the pandemic, and adapted to a growing student body over the years. This challenging work has always been characterized by and infused with immense joy, pride, gratitude, blessings, and reward, alhamdullilah. We are incredibly excited to continue the journey with you and we ask Allah to continue to bless our work, efforts, and intentions. May He protect our children and always keep them at the center of our decision making, intentions, and efforts!
I truly feel blessed to have the opportunity to lead this school and to work with and support our families and students as we move into another academic year. I can't wait, insha'Allah, to welcome back our returning students and meet and welcome our new students and families.
I realize there are so many questions you all have as we kick off the school year. Families will continue to receive relevant information in the coming weeks. At this time, please read through this newsletter for some pertinent information at this time. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns in the meantime.

School Year Calendar
Be sure to save/bookmark our academic year calendar. Use the link below to access the calendar.
This calendar outlines all of our holidays, professional development days, vacations, etc.
Supply Lists
Please access each grade's supply list using the link below. Please note that this list includes only personal supplies that each student should have each day. These supplies will not be collected by the teachers for community use; community-use items such as tissues, hand sanitizer, wipes, etc. will be purchased by the school.
Students may bring their personal items to the school for drop-off in their classrooms at the Meet & Greet on August 22.
Please ensure EVERYTHING is labeled with your child's name-we often have an overflow of Lost & Found items; labeling all of your child's belongings will avoid this problem.
Please, also, label your child's sweaters and clothing with a Sharpie on the clothing's tag.
Meet and Greet & Back to School Night
Meet & Greet/Back-to-School Night
We will have a Meet & Greet for all families on August 22 at the following times:
PYP (K-5): 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
MYP (6-8): 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
These are general timings. If families have children in both age groups, you may drop by at any time after 2:00 p.m. to meet your child's teachers and see the classrooms. Again, parents and students may bring their supplies to the school for drop-off at the Meet & Greet on August 22. Middle School students will select a locker and may set up their lockers during the Meet & Greet, upon the instructions/guidance of staff.
We will also have a Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 29 from 6-8 p.m. More information on this will be shared with families in an upcoming newsletter.
Uniforms Purchase
All students must be in uniform each day. There are 3 different uniforms (variations of the uniform) that students must wear:
1) The regular, daily uniform
2) Formal uniform, worn on Fridays, field trips, Picture Day, and as requested for other special events
3) P.E. Uniform, worn on the day the child has P.E. and on some activity-based field trips. Students do not change in school; they come to school in the P.E. uniform. The day your child has P.E. will be shared in an upcoming newsletter.
Please visit Dennis Uniform to purchase the regular uniform and additional items needed to complete the formal uniform. You may purchase the uniform online (use the link below to access the website) or you may go into the physical location and purchase the uniform.
