Principal e-Note
Concord Elementary School - Jan 5, 2025 (Week 19)
From the Office
Concord Families,
Winter break is getting an unexpected extension thanks to the winter storm! There is no school tomorrow (1/6/24). Stay safe and cozy while you enjoy the snow and some extra time for fun. We're excited to jump back into the swing of things later this week. Please keep an eye out for district communication regarding Tuesday.
Kind Regards,
Brian and Liz
Winter Weather Update
If Lindbergh Schools closes due to inclement weather, we will communicate directly with families by text message, email and an automated phone message. Lindbergh Schools closure status is also available on local media, the district website, www.lindberghschools.ws, and our Facebook page,
www.facebook.com/LindberghECE. All LECE programs close with Lindbergh Schools.
Five snow days are built into the school year calendar. Families will not receive tuition credit for these days. If the district has additional snow days beyond the five built-in days, families will be credited tuition for those additional days.
When possible, the decision to close school is made by 10 p.m. the night before. However, if the decision cannot be made by 10 p.m., then a decision will be made between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning. If the decision is made to cancel school, all families and staff will receive a phone call, text message and email notification.

Managing Holiday Stress: Embrace the Season, Let Go of Perfection
The holiday season can be a time of joy, but it can also bring stress and pressure, especially when we try to make everything perfect. It’s important to remember that keeping routines—even during the holidays—helps create a sense of stability for both kids and adults. You don’t have to make every moment magical or turn every event into a photo opportunity. Let go of the guilt around what “should” be and focus on what feels right for your family. Down time is just as important as holiday celebrations—it’s okay to relax, recharge, and enjoy quiet moments together. Embrace the season without the pressure of perfection, and remember that the best memories are often made in the simplest moments.
Counseling Office Puzzle Request
The counseling office is in need of 60-100 piece puzzle sets (new or used- with all the pieces please).
Why:
Puzzles help children who are feeling unregulated by engaging both sides of the brain—artistic (right brain) and problem-solving (left brain). This dual engagement helps ground children when they are feeling upset or anxious, promoting emotional regulation and a sense of calm in both their mind and body. We will accept donations until December 19th.
Your donations will be greatly appreciated!
