- October 28: Boo Grams ($2) for sale at all lunches (delivered 6th hour on Halloween). Cider and donut presale ($2) at all lunches, cider and donuts will be served on Halloween during lunch.

Parent & Teacher Conferences October 9 & 10
Parent and Teacher Conferences are on October 9 & 10.
Wednesday October 9, parents have the option of scheduling an in-person or virtual conference from 4:30-7:30PM with their child's teachers.
Thursday October 10, conferences will be virtual from 1:30-7:30PM and parents will need to schedule a virtual conference with their child's teachers.

At Beer Middle School, Parent-Teacher Conferences are a key part of our communication strategy regarding your child’s progress. Please plan on booking and attending a Parent-Teacher Conference with the applicable teacher(s) for each child you have attending BMS.
October 25 is the end of the 1st Marking Period, Are You Thinking About the Honor Roll?
It's hard to believe that we are approaching the end of the 1st marking period which is on October 25. Please take time to talk with your child about how they are doing in school and checking their grades in Parent Portal. We want every student to achieve success at Beer Middle School and we want every student to earn a spot on the Honor Roll or All A's list. In order to make the Honor Roll, a student must have a quarter/marking period GPA of 3.00 or above and no 3's in citizenship. Report cards for 1st quarter should be ready by November 7th.
Locker Decorating for Birthdays and Special Events
The Beer Boosters decorates lockers for student birthdays and special events, the cost is only $15. Locker decorating includes a few snacks/treats, decorated locker, and a card from the Beer Boosters. Yearbook Club is Open to All Students
Are you interested in being a photographer, advertiser, or page designer in our yearbook club? 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are welcome to apply. Mrs. Bommarito will accept late applications until October 3rd.

Youth Basketball Program
Students will practice fundamental skills and learn rules to the game of basketball. The first two weeks will be skill building followed by four weeks of game play. This is sure to be a fun learning experience for all involved!
Who: Girls – 1st through 8th Grade
When: Saturdays, October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, November 2th and 9th.
Time: Grade’s 1st- 4th 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m. Grade’s 5th- 8th 10:30a.m.-noon
Where: Warren Mott High School (enter through Door #30)
Cost: $40.00 ($20.00 for the second child) includes a t-shirt

Report Cards will be digital this year and can be downloaded/viewed in PowerSchool/Parent Portal. Directions on how to download/view report cards is below. Parents/Guardians must have a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account to download/view report cards.
Beer MS Plato's Closet
- We are looking for new or gently used shoes, winter jackets, winter hats, winter gloves, pants, shirts, and socks for both boys and girls
- We are asking that all gently used clothing items be freshly washed
- Clothing items can be dropped off at the main office
- New clothing items with their tags still on are highly desirable
- All donated clothing items will be given to students who need them
Students in need of clothing should see their counselor Ms. Pudrith or Mr. Kay.

Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Students During the 2024-2025 School Year
Dear Parent or Guardian:
We are pleased to inform you that we will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
The GREAT NEWS is that ALL students enrolled at our schools can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day.
In place of the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application, we still need your household to complete a Education Benefit Form. This report is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc.
These supplemental programs have the potential to offer supports and services for our students including, but not limited to:
- Instructional supports (staff, supplies & materials, etc.)
- Non-instructional services (counseling, social work, health services, etc.)
- Professional Learning for staff
- Parent and Community engagement supplies and activities
- Technology
We are asking that you please complete and submit the Education Benefit Form as soon as possible to ensure that additional funding for our school is available to meet the needs of our students. All information on the report submitted is confidential. Without your assistance in completing and returning the report, our school cannot maximize the use of available State and Federal funds.
