Principal's Message...
Week 1 is in the books! So excited for our first full week of the 24-25 school year. Two upcoming happenings I wanted to make sure you are aware of. First is our Back to School Meetings for all parents next week. K-7 is on Wednesday at 12:30 and our 8th grade is Thursday at 12:30 with our high school Thursday night at 6:30 pm. These are great opportunities for families to connect with our staff and fellow parents as well as be sure that they are aware of all the ins and outs of our program. We do a great job of making efficient use of the time and keeping it to a minimum. Please be sure to make it work to attend. The second thing is to make sure you are working closely with your student and teacher(s) to ensure that your student is on track and getting a system donw to complete their work on time and that reflects their understanding. For those new to TC, it's an adjustment, but one that can result in great benefit provided a system is in place. Please be sure to use these first few weeks to come up with a plan and consult and collaborate with your teacher(s). They are truly the experts.
Lastly, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We are here to help and are intentionally small. If you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.
Mr. Fineberg
PTA Round Up
Hello Maverick Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year. Your PTA is excited to work collaboratively with our teachers, staff, and Mr. Fineberg, to make the 2024-25 school year the best ever. As we begin the year, you will be able to see us around at the Back to School Events on August 28th and 29th, along with the upcoming Principal Coffee and our Trunk or Treat on October 29th. Please take a moment to check out our website and please consider joining our PTA and supporting our Maverick 180 campaign. The Maverick 180 campaign is the main fundraiser for Tustin Connect. The funds raised will go directly towards school activities, graduation/promotion, and other important events for our school. We’d love your support.
Also, be on the lookout for new spiritwear ordering opportunities as well. Also, if you are interested in getting involved, we'd love the help! Please contact the office and we can connect you to our PTA.

Counselor Corner: Resources and link to workshops and more!!!
Our Mental Health Specialist, Mrs. J wanted to share a couple of great resources with our families. She'll be talking more about them in the coming months as Principal/Counselor Coffees get started. In the meantime, this is some great stuff for families.
From Mrs. J:
I wanted to share some free resources available for our students and families.
The first is a free online parenting course tailored to the age and the specific behavioral challenges of the child (0-18 yrs)
The second resource is also free and provides in the moment one on one coaching when the maladaptive behaviors come up as well as tutorials (0-12 yrs)
The positive parenting program that's already used in 40+ U.S. states
