Surfside Shark Bite's
Week of January 23 - 27
A Note From Principal Frandsen
Happy Friday, Surfside!
Congratulations to our currently undefeated Sharks basketball team!
As things settle in this second semester it is important to remember that one of the most powerful actions a student can do to be successful is to show up to school and/or get their work done every day. When a student is absent, they miss assignments and learning time, then fall further and further behind. When absenteeism, or a lack of completing work, becomes a pattern, students often find themselves having to delay graduation. To be successful - attend school, get your work done, and get help when you need it.
As a reminder, Oceanside families and students have free access to Care Solace to quickly find verified mental health, behavioral health, and substance use treatment options matched to their needs. Care Solace’s team is available 24/7/365 and can support you in any language. Care Solace can be reached at 888-515-0595 available 24/7/36 or online at www.caresolace.com/ousd. Either search resources on your own OR click “Book Appointment” for assistance by video chat, email, or phone.
Have a great weekend!
