Raise Craze Fundraiser!
Our annual BES PTA Fundraiser kicks off on Monday, September 16!
This year's fundraiser will be through Raise Craze, a unique way for us to raise money for our school while making an impact in our community. During this fundraiser (which runs 9/16 – 10/4), students ask friends and family for donations via the online Raise Craze platform while paying it forward serving others. What a great way for us to teach our students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising much needed funds for our school. Students will spend time serving, not selling!
You will receive information on how to set up your portal and track your impact early next week. In the meantime, view this video for an introduction to Raise Craze!
Also, be on the lookout for upcoming opportunities to spread kindness at school events, during classroom activities, and through volunteering in our community. Here's a preview of just few ways we can give back together:
- Donate new and gently used items to Note in the Pocket, or new and gently used books to Read and Feed! We'll have collection bins outside the front office and during Curriculum Night on 9/19.
- Support residents of the Glade Adult Day Center by putting together care packages at Curriculum Night or participating in an onsite visit during upcoming teacher workdays – register here (space is limited)!
- Volunteer to help run our Acts of Kindness tables at Curriculum Night – sign up here! This opportunity is for grown-ups only.
Walk, Roll, and Bike to School on October 9
The PTA invites all students, families, and staff to walk (or roll or bike!) to school together on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Wear your Red for Ed(ucation) in solidarity to support each other and our public schools!
- Families who don’t usually walk: Meet outside Duck Donuts (map)! Park in the empty lot along the tree line, not near the businesses, by 8:10am. The route is just under 1/2 mile (about a 12-minute walk) and is stroller and wheelchair accessible, though there are hills and a speed bump.
- Families who usually walk: Walk your normal route and meet up with the group along the way!
- Staff: Meet the group at the corner of Cheswick and Pond (map) by 8:30am.
