Forest Ave Weekly Announcements
Week of 9.17.2024
Freaky Friday-- Hat Day
This Friday is our first Freaky Friday of the year. "Freaky Fridays', for those new to Forest Ave, are our version of Spirit Days. We have these once a month with a fun, silly, or creative theme. This months theme is Hat Day! Students can come in wearing their silliest, most creative, crazy hats-- or wear any other hat of their choosing!
School Directory OPT OUT Form
As in past years, we will be offering a directory that families may use for birthday invitations, play date coordination, and more. This year, we are asking for families to only OPT OUT if you do not wish to have your contact information published. Additionally, you can specify if there is certain information you do not want included (for example: ok with email, not ok with phone number). If you would like to opt out completely or omit certain information, please complete the form HERE. If you do not complete this form by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2024, we will include your information in the school wide directory for families. The directory will be a digital file. Thank you.

Chartwell's Discovery Kitchen
The Chartwells Discovery Kitchen theme for the month of September is “Power Up” – which focuses on how to fuel growing bodies with nutritious foods. From competitive athletes working to achieve peak performance to anyone looking to power through their active day, our event will show how eating the right foods can help students perform at their best and stay ahead of the game. This event will also highlight the Massachusetts Harvest of the Month: Tomatoes!
On Wednesday, September 25th, Michelle DePaul, Chartwells’ Food Service Director, will team up with our University of Massachusetts Dietetic Intern to host a Power Up table at all lunches. We will provide nutrition education as well as samples of Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella salad for students to enjoy! Children will also receive a copy of the recipe to take home.
For more information, see the letter attached!
