SCE Principal/Weekly Blast
August 9, 2024
Principal Note
August 9, 2024
Dear SCE Families,
We are beyond excited to get back into the swing of things and have the first week of the 2024-2025 school year under our belts! Our staff have been taking this first week to start building community, outlining expectations, and laying the groundwork for a successful year!
If you have not had a chance to meet our new and returning staff at Sand Creek, I highly encourage you to follow our Sand Creek Elementary Facebook or Instagram pages and check out our Staff Spotlights to learn more about these amazing individuals! Are you having a hard time remembering who does what? No problem! Just click on our 2024-25 Staff Matrix to find staff member names, positions, and email addresses. This will be a handy document to help you get in touch with specific staff members who support your student.
As you know, safety is our number one priority. Please refer to this handout to learn more about our safety procedures, the drills we conduct, their frequency, and the important information that you, our parents, need to have on hand in case of an emergency. For more in depth information about our multi-layered approach to school safety, I highly encourage you to review our School Safety slidedeck.
If you are interested in volunteering at Sand Creek, please check out our PTO Committee Roles to learn about ways you can get involved and sign-up HERE! You can also reach out to your child’s teacher to learn how you can help out in the classroom. We love having parent volunteers in our school!
We hope you have a relaxing weekend!
Proud to be an Eagle!
Pamela Pekarek
Principal, Sand Creek Elementary
