Message from our Principal
Hello Bulldog Families,
We just completed our second Referendum Information Night on Wednesday, March 15. We had several citizens attend the event, as well as representatives from our School Board, including our President, Stacey Forkner, and our Vice President, Kay Borgwardt. We also had representatives from Baird Public Finance and Performance Services present to answer finance and facility questions related to the operational and capital referenda. Thank you to the citizens who were able to attend, as well as to our School Board for their input during the meeting. Please vote April 4!
We recently hosted the Academic Bowl at Washington-Caldwell. The Academic Bowl consists of multiple teams competing against each other in various content areas. There are several area districts that participate in the Academic Bowl including North Cape, Paris, East Troy and Yorkville. Several of our students received ribbons for their outstanding efforts. This is a great event to meet other students and to work together as a school team. Thank you to our middle school team of Mr. Thompson, Ms. Maass and Mrs. Mazurek for their efforts in leading and hosting the event. Thank you!
We want to make you aware that we will be holding an ALICE drill on Tuesday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. This will be a lockdown/barricade drill only. Staff have been working in their classrooms teaching the ALICE curriculum to prepare our students. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this drill.
I have reserved office hours each week to meet with parents to discuss school improvement ideas, concerns or to simply meet with you to increase parent engagement throughout the year. Office hours are on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. You may also contact me via email at kmccormick@washcald.com, or by phone at 262-662-3466, Ext. 166.
Sincerely,
Kevin
Superintendent/Principal
