Students and staff at Governor Winslow School are thrilled to have Ms. Napoli and her therapy dogs, Daisy and Honey Bear, now visiting classrooms on a weekly basis. We have noticed that simply being in the same room as our therapy dogs can lower anxiety levels, improve moods, and increase student engagement. Our GWS family loves Ms. Napoli, Daisy, and Honey Bear!

It is very important that students arrive to school on time. Proper rest and a nutritional breakfast have also proven beneficial. Please send a healthy snack to school with your child on test days.

The last day of After School Enrichment is next Thursday, April 3.

Your child's Thursday default dismissal plan will return to the original Thursday default. Please contact the office if you need to update default plans.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be visiting GWS April 28th - May 2nd. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their children during their library time to shop. Physical handouts including your student’s class time will be sent home next week.

Cash and checks (written out to Governor Winslow School) will be accepted along with eWallet payments. With eWallet, you can prepay a set amount for your child to spend at the book fair. GWS 2025 eWallets will be available to you beginning April 7th. Click here to learn more about eWallet. If you’re sending your child with cash, please remember the 6.25% sales tax that will be included.

GWS KidsFit Program

Starts March 3rd! Sign up for one day or all of them!

WHO: Governor Winslow Students 2nd-5th Grade

WHEN: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.

Week Starting Monday, March 3rd – Week Ending Friday, April 11th

-Program runs Mondays, Wednesday, & Fridays 8:00-8:45 AM

-Sign up options for individual days or all 3 days

WHERE: Governor Winslow School (Drop off in front no earlier than 7:55AM)

FEE: 1 Day $45.00 / 3 Days $110.00

ADDITIONAL INFO: Join us for fun sports and gym activities before school! This program will be run by Governor Winslow Teacher- Ms. Calianne Krupski. Students should bring a water bottle, wear appropriate clothes to run around, and sneakers!

We would like to thank the teachers for their time and thoughtfulness during conferences this week. To show our appreciation, the PTO provided dinner for the staff on Monday night.

We need your help! The school store cannot run without volunteers, help is needed Mondays from 12-2 throughout April and May. You will need an up-to-date CORI form, please check with the GWS office for the status of your CORI.

4/9: Mono Mono PTO event - Mention GWS PTO at checkout when you shop from 10am to 6pm and they will donate 15% of sales to the GWS PTO.

Marshfield DECA’s "Egg My Yard" Fundraiser!

Surprise your kids with a yard full of Easter eggs on Easter morning! Marshfield DECA will hide treat-filled eggs in your yard the night before, so you can wake up to a fun Easter surprise. Simply place your order, and we’ll take care of the rest!
