I am so excited about the 24-25 school year. As your Principal, I believe that every child on our campus deserves the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. The staff at Kuentz Elementary shares this belief as we strive to do what's best for ALL students. At Kuentz, we teach our students about the 6 Pillars of Character as well as the Northside Learner Profiles which are the most vital for our students to cultivate in order to achieve success.

• November 15th: Progress Reports go live in HAC
• November 25th through November 29th: Thanksgiving Holiday
• December 4th: Slim Chickens Spirit Night 5-8pm
• December 6th: Helotes Lighting of the Lights 6:00-7:30pm in downtown Helotes
• December 10th: 5:00-5:30pm PTA Membership Mtg & Pillars of Character Award Ceremony Followed by our Annual Winter Social (see flyer below) starting at 5:30pm.
• December 20th: Classroom Christmas Parties (RSVP here)
• December 21st through January 6th: Christmas Break

On Monday, November 11th, our school came together for an unforgettable Veterans Day ceremony to honor the incredible men and women who have served our country. It was a moment filled with pride, gratitude, and unity as we recognized the sacrifices made by our veterans.

The event featured an inspiring speaker, Captain Robert Kluting, USAF who shared powerful words that reminded us all of the true meaning of service and sacrifice. Our students also shone brightly with heartfelt performances that showcased their talent and respect for our veterans. From the presentation of the colors by our Kuentz Cub Scout Troop, Star-Spangled Banner sung by 5th grade students directed by Mr. Hladio, an Acrostic Poem presented by 1st graders, and A poem about America's White Table read by a 3rd grade student. It was a ceremony to remember!

As we are entering the holiday season, we're reflecting on the incredible work and dedication shown by our Kuentz staff. To celebrate and show our appreciation, we have organized a variety of fun activities to recognize the efforts of our amazing staff. We'd like to give out small prizes, so we are reaching out to kindly request donations of $10.00 gift cards from local stores, coffee shops, and/or online retailers.

If you'd like to donate, please, drop off gift cards to the ladies in the front office anytime!

SCHOOL ZONE:

This is a friendly reminder that while driving in a school zone there is NO cell phone usage! When dropping off or picking up in our Pick-Up Line, please refrain from using your cell phone. Our students, staff and families safety is our priority, and we want to make sure we are following all safety protocols and laws in order to avoid an unnecessary incident.

Join us on Tuesday, December 10th at 5:00pm in the Kuentz cafeteria for our PTA Membership meeting. Immediately after the meeting we will hold our 1st Pillars of Character Award Ceremony honoring students that have shown the characteristics of Trustworthiness and Respect.
