We understand that some people aren't ready to think of the new 4-H year but it will fly by sooner than you think! Volunteers
This fall, the Indiana State 4-H Office will update the volunteer enrollment process in 4-H Online to streamline, reduce physical paperwork, address risk management needs, and centralize document storage.
Updates to the system include:
- A New Volunteer Applicant role linked to an online volunteer application.
- New and redefined volunteer roles.
- Volunteer role descriptions to sign in 4-H Online linked to volunteer roles selected.
- Added role consents for specific volunteer roles.
- Age and training qualifications for specific volunteer roles.
- When you log in to 4-H Online to enroll for the 2024-2025 program year, you will work through a three step process this year, with the enrollment and training steps being like the past. Below is a visual overview of the new process with items in green reflecting new items in the system.
4-H Online will open for volunteer enrollment on October 1st! Please log into https://v2.4honline.com at your earliest convenience to enroll as a volunteer for the 2024-2025 program year.

Holiday Baking Tips
During this holiday baking season, households need to know that flour and other ingredients may contain harmful bacteria that are only killed during the cooking process. Young children are especially vulnerable to serious foodborne illness from raw ingredients.
This short video explains why flour is a raw ingredient that needs to be handled safely when baking at home.
Feel free to share this fun holiday baking video (and the Spanish language version) in your food safety outreach!
Keep Buffets & Large Gatherings Safe
During this holiday season, many households are making plans to gather with friends and family to share meals and celebrate.
