Hello BRMES Families!
I hope you're all soaking up the splendor of these crisp autumn days and that your family has settled into the school groove. I’m excited to share that our new school year has kicked off with a bang—what an amazing start!
As we tumble into October, remember to bundle up your kiddos in layers or cozy coats for those chilly mornings. To make sure their gear doesn't go astray in the sea of coats, why not label their outerwear with their name? Our lost & found is already overflowing with misplaced items.
Here’s a quick round-up of our “game plan” to keep things running smoothly:
🚗 Drop Off & Pick Up: For a smooth ride through our drive-up lane, please stay in your vehicle and pull forward as much as possible. Be patient, stay alert, and let’s keep the traffic game strong!
🤒 Sick Days: Keep those germs at home and check out our website for a handy guide if you’re unsure whether your child is ready to rejoin the school fun. Healthy kids mean a happier school community!
📅 Update Plans: If your child’s after-school plans change, let their teacher know with a note or a phone call before 2:30 PM. This helps us keep the day’s playbook in check and ensures your child’s plans are set.

You are encouraged to pay for your child's breakfast or lunch through My School Bucks. Call our office if you need your child's Student ID number. You can even set it to notify you when your child's account balance is low. A check written to MDSD Food Service can also be accepted if your child can deliver it to the office or cafeteria.

Powerschool is an excellent tool for parents to keep track of their child's daily schedule, attendance, and grades. Download the Powerschool app to get started. Our code is: XLLD

For only $15 you can help us meet the school's needs that are outside the scope of their budget. There's no set time commitment required to be a member! The last day to join for this school year is November 1. Learn more and sign up here!

Information will be sent home soon about our annual T-shirt Design Contest! The theme this year is "Fun & Games" and all students are invited to participate. Entries are due by October 17 and the winner will be voted on at the next PTA meeting on October 25. Download flyer here.
