Allison Breese, Alamo 5th grade
1. I am the oldest of 5 children and the oldest of 49 grandchildren! I come from a big Croatian family who still see each other every chance we get. A typical Christmas gathering at my grandmother's house usually consists of about 150 people.
2. I went to Columbus College of Art and Design. I was originally enrolled as an illustrator/animator for Disney. I illustrated for a year and decided I did not like animation so I switched my major to oil painting and portraiture. Toward the end of my schooling I considered the prospect of being a "starving artist" and it did not sound so appealing, so I went into art education and elementary education.
3. Two weeks after I was married my husband and I spent three weeks with my parents and all of my younger brothers and sisters on a road trip out west. The way my husband tells the story is cringe worthy. I, on the other hand, loved it!
Katie Hughes, Alamo 2nd grade
1. I played Division 3 college soccer at Hope College.
2. I studied abroad in Spain.
3. I ran a marathon and, at a different time, biked 100 miles a day.
Karin Laws, Parapro / In-House Supervisor
1. I have an identical twin sister 3 minutes older than me and also have twin grandkids.
2. I was in the Allegan County Mounted Division with my husband for 10 years.
3. I love to make things to give away and sell at craft shows.
