๐ฎ Financial Aid Frenzy: The Mario Party Race is On! ๐๐ฐ
tโs that time of year againโFinancial Aid Season is upon us, and weโre leveling up our efforts to help students succeed!
- Did you know the Dashboard can show performance trends across different student groups? That means we can spot where support might be needed to close achievement gaps and help students thrive. Think of it as a tool to figure out where financial aid could make the most impact. But no worries, it doesnโt display individual financial aid details, just big-picture trends.
- Now, hereโs where it gets fun: The Horizons Team, Guidance Counselors, and our amazing partners are teaming up for a Mario Party-style competition to make sure every student completes their financial aid application on time. Game on! ๐ฎ
๐ The Race Is On! ๐
- Students are divided into teams, each with a team leader who will help guide them through the application process. The competition is fierce, and the prizes are sweet! Here's the leaderboard so far:
- Ms. Brisa (PHS Alum & Cal-SOAP Rep) and Jennifer Sedillo are in First Place!
- Ms. Alyssa (PHS Alum & Educational Talent Search)is in Second! ๐
- Alejandra Flores is in third place!
๐ Mini-Raffles, Big Prizes! ๐
- Every student who participates will have a chance to win mini-raffle prizes throughout the competition. But watch out, team leads have the power to steal points and shake up the leaderboard! ๐ฒ Bragging rights and a championship trophy are on the line! ๐
๐ Get Involved! ๐
Encourage students to stop by the Horizons Office to meet with their team leader, get help with their FAFSA, and participate in upcoming workshops. Itโs a race to complete the application, and weโre all in this together!
A huge shout-out to Jennifer Sedillo for leading this important schoolwide initiative and helping students secure their futures. ๐
Let the Mario Party begin, and may the best team win! ๐
