NEWSLETTER | TERM 4 | WEEK 2 | 17 OCTOBER 2024
Rebecca Clarke | Principal
Dear parents and caregivers,
If this week is anything to go by, I have the feeling that this term is going to go very quickly!
The beginning of the week started with our Year Five students heading off for an overnight camp at the Swan Valley Recreational Camp. The focus of this camp is to work on leadership and team building skills in preparation for the many leadership roles and opportunities they will take on as Year Six students. To say they had a great time would be an understatement, although some were a little sleep deprived the next day! Thank you to Mrs Fernandez, Mr Fitzgibbons, Miss Nguyen and Mrs Chansaw for organising, facilitating and supervising the camp.
On Friday, selected students will represent St Elizabeth’s at the Interschool Athletics Carnival. Under the watchful eye of Mr Rebeiro, these students have been busy with extra practices, including morning and afternoon training sessions in preparation for the day. A big thank you to him for giving up his own time to train our students. Good luck to all those involved, I am positive that you will do very well and make us all very proud!
A reminder regarding student drop off and pick up. Please be patient and ensure that you are entering the carpark safely and aware of your surroundings. Students should be dropped off and collected in Kiss and Drive, not in the driveway. Please park in the allocated bays, do not use the visitor’s parking during these times, avoid any driveways and follow the City of Wanneroo parking regulations. Thank you to those families that are adhering to the guidelines.
Enjoy a lovely weekend!
God bless
Rebecca Clarke

What you need to know!
Students will be getting changed at school before and after lessons - please see your classroom teacher's Seesaw correspondence for more information.
Students may bring a robe to wear over bathers whilst on route there and back, students who do not have a robe will use their towel.
We recommend bringing a waterproof or plastic style bag for wet bathers to come home in. Students with one piece bathers should not wear this under their uniform, as the sessions are in the afternoon and they will need to use the bathroom during the school day.
Rash vests are permitted. No bikini's please - two piece modest bathers or one piece swimwear are preferred.
Please ensure your child has the following items for swimming lessons and they are clearly labelled with their name in a separate swimming bag.
- bathers
- towel
- goggles
- thongs/crocs/slip on's
Please do not order lunch orders, during your swimming lesson weeks. Students will require a packed lunch.
Parents and family members are welcome to spectate, Aquamotion charge a casual spectator entry fee of $2.00 per session and this can be paid on entry at Aquamotion.

Beginning of Term Mass
Last Friday our Year Four, Five and Six students attended our Beginning of Term 4 Mass at St Anthony’s Church. It was a wonderful way to start the day and begin our final term. Our students sang beautifully and were congratulated for their reverence during mass.
Year 5 Camp
A big thank you to our Year Five students for a fun and memorable camp at Swan Valley Adventure Centre! It was a pleasure to take these amazing students away for some fun and laughter, adventure, and to see them push their boundaries while completing various activities.
A big thank you to Caroline (Dayton’s mum) for providing all staff and students with personalised pillowcases as a special keepsake from the Year Five Camp.
A special mention and thank you to the camp team - Mr Fitzgibbons, Miss Nguyen, and Mrs Chan Saw, for joining us and supporting our students, ensuring they had an unforgettable experience. I am sure they all slept very well on Tuesday night.
Wheelchairs for Kids
Yesterday afternoon, our staff visited Wheelchairs for Kids in Wangara. This volunteer-based nonprofit organisation provides the transformative gift of mobility to children in impoverished communities around the world. We were privileged to be led on a tour by Br Olly Pickett, who showed us all the stations in the factory and how the wheelchairs are assembled. We also watched a short video showcasing how these wheelchairs are changing the lives of children.
St Elizabeth's began our connection with Wheelchairs for Kids in 2021 by collecting the ring pulls from cans. We are excited to have our students and community become more involved with this organisation next year as part of our Christian Service initiative.
In gratitude
