Principal's Message
Hello Bulldog Families,
It was wonderful to see many of you at last Saturday's Holiday Parade in downtown Zephyrhills. The RBSMS staff had the pleasure of marching with the band and being part of this cherished community tradition. It was a blast walking with our students and staff, and we loved seeing so many familiar faces.
FAST PM 2 Assessments: Last week, we successfully assessed the majority of our students in the FAST PM 2. We are now taking a deeper dive into the data and discussing learning goals with our students. This week and next week, we will have many end-of-course and unit exams. Attendance is crucial during this period. Please encourage your child to take these assessments seriously, as many of them will count towards their 2nd quarter and 1st semester grades.
December's Resiliency Skill: Empathy This month, we are focusing on empathy, which involves understanding the thoughts, feelings, and actions of others. To support this at home, please refer to the attached Empathy Parent Guide for ways to discuss this important skill with your child.
Holiday Assistance: As we approach the holiday season, please remember that if you need assistance for Christmas, you can contact our main office at (813) 794-6500. Alternatively, your child can reach out to their favorite teacher so we can complete the necessary paperwork to assist you. If you’re interested in donating to a family in need, please connect with our school Social Worker, Kathryn Mackenzie, by calling the main line or emailing her at kmackenz@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Holiday in the Commons: Please see the attached flyer for this Thursday's Holiday in the Commons. We will have fun activities for families and provide an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers and check in on their child's academic success.
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s Bulldog Bark newsletter and for being our partner in your child’s education.
