What a way to celebrate Valentine's Day! We had our third competition this year. Students competed in tug-of-war, musical chairs, dodgeball and more. A big shout out to all the parents who volunteered and donated treats! We could not do these games without your support. Phoenix and Aspect tied and went into a fierce game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Aspect took the win! Their second win of the year. Thank you Daniel Aybar for the action shots.

Coach Pedro has evaluated all of the student soccer players. He will be scheduling meetings via Zoom or in person during the month of March. If you would like to meet with Coach Pedro to discuss your child's performance in school, please contact Lucas Farris at lfarris@allegianceacademy.org to schedule a time. Days and times are the following, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Calling all 6th-8th graders who need help with your grades. Our 9th and 10th graders will offer their tutoring services on Friday afternoons from 3:45 p.m.-4:45 p.m. Our student council President and Vice President are organizing this program. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sean Perryman or Patrick Stoklas. If you are interested, please scan the QR code to sign-up. The first tutoring session will begin March 3, 2023.

Our 8th graders will go to Feed my Starving Children. One group will go on Wednesday, February 22nd and one will go on Thursday February 23rd. Students will pack meals for malnourished individuals around the world. 8th grade parents should have received an email with the permission slip. Please complete by Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

When: Thursday, February 23rd @ 6:00

Where: Cafeteria & Zoom (Link will be sent through Ms. Vukelich closer to the date)

Who: This meeting is intended for current 8th-11th graders. Both students and parents should attend this meeting.

What: In this meeting, Amy Kirchhoff, our school counselor, will review graduation requirements, explain student transcripts, outline how to navigate available courses for Fall, and guide students/families on how to have discussions on what classes to choose for next year. The goal after this meeting is that students and families understand their own individual needs and are empowered to have family discussions about goals for student’s class selections for Fall in preparation for one-on-one meetings with the counselor that will begin the following week. Student transcripts will be emailed to parents and students a day or two prior to this event so that they can be referred to during the meeting for planning purposes.
