A Message from Our Principal
WHAT A WEEK!
Dear Farnham Families,
A huge thank you to our incredible Pumpkin Walk lead, Christina Rodriguez, who organized and planned an unforgettable event with the help of an outstanding volunteer team. Special thanks to our Fourth Grade families for going above and beyond with the Haunted House—it was wonderfully spooky! We’re grateful to our entire community for supporting our fundraising efforts and creating such a fun time together. As one TK friend exclaimed, "How did this happen?!" I told them, "We're so lucky to have so many wonderful volunteers!" It truly takes a village to make all of Farnham’s magic happen.
Our Fifth Graders are heading to Science Camp next week! However, we’re still in need of additional volunteers to serve as Field Group and Cabin Leaders. If you know a high school sophomore, college student, or young adult up to age 25 who might enjoy spending a week in the woods, please reach out! We’re also happy to include fingerprinted adults who’d like to join us. Thank you for helping make this an unforgettable experience for our students!
Friendly Reminders
- The drive-through loop is **not a parking area**. Please be sure to enter the loop in the lane closest to the sidewalk. The inner loop is only for exiting. If you need to wait for additional students, please park and walk to campus. We have a lovely area for families to sit and chat while waiting. Recently, we’ve had some close calls with students running between cars in the loop to reach their rides, so please help us keep everyone safe.
- Please avoid parking in our handicapped spaces unless you have the appropriate placard. We have several families with permits who need access to these spaces. Please be considerate and park in the neighborhood if needed.
Thank you for your support in keeping our community safe and thriving!
Be well,
Amy O’Hehir
Principal, Farnham Elementary

Visit Lost and Found Today!
Visit our Lost and Found to find your child's jackets, lunchboxes and water bottles! The Lost and Found is located in front of the cafeteria, so students are able to check for lost items during the school day. Before and after school, please check this area with your child for any lost items. LOST AND FOUND WILL BE DONATED Tomorrow, November 1st.
Please label all items with your child's first and last name! Labeled items will be returned to your child's classroom.
A NOTE FROM YOUR HSC BOARD:
Thank you to everyone who stepped up and helped make last week's Pumpkin Walk a success. Every volunteer made the event possible, and we appreciate you taking time out of your day to support the Farnham HSC. We wanted to send a special thanks to Christina R. who took charge and led the Pumpkin Walk Committee this year, as well as many of the first time and returning volunteers on the committee. It really does take a village, and we want to appreciate all the time and effort you spent in planning, decorating and executing!
Our next monthly HSC meeting will be on November 5 from 6-7pm, but we will be trying something different to offer flexibility to all given that it is also Election Day. We will be hosting this HSC meeting virtually for everyone. See link here to join, or go to the HSC website for details. We hope this flexibility might allow some new faces to join, and we will be back in person in December.
If you have any photos to share for the yearbook, please send them to yearbookfarnham@gmail.com. Need Farnham spiritwear? Visit our website for what we have in stock and a link to our vendor who can help you with many more options!

Look for Measure BB on your ballot on election day. What is Measure BB?
Measure BB is the continuation (with no changes) of Measure H, a parcel tax of $94.24 per-parcel/year approved by Cambrian School District voters in June 2018, which supports Transitional Kindergarten through eighth grade students by attracting and retaining quality teachers, continuing core programs in math, science, engineering, technology, reading, music and the arts while maintaining class sizes and providing physical education programs that promote student health and fitness.
Proceeds from Measure BB may be used to:
Attract and retain highly qualified teachers and support staff who specialize in technology
Continue funding for advanced and core programs in math, science, engineering and technology
Support funding for advanced and core programs in reading, music and the arts
Maintain manageable class sizes
Provide ongoing training and skills development for teachers and staff
Continue funding for physical education programs that promote student health and fitness
Taxpayer Protections:
All Measure BB funds stay local to support CSD instructional programs
The State cannot take Measure BB funding away.
No funds are allowed for administrators' salaries or pensions.
Mandatory annual audits ensure the funds are used as promised.
An exemption from the tax is available for senior property owners 65 years and older.
For more information, visit our website at: www.cambriansd.org.
Cambrian School District is pleased to offer all students complimentary snack at morning recess and lunch meals at lunch recess. Meals will be available for pickup in the cafeteria during scheduled meal periods. Please consider taking advantage of our FREE school meals by clicking here and signing up. It extends your grocery budget, saves time planning and preparing meals, and is comforting and familiar for kids to have school meals. In addition, every meal served is reimbursed by the USDA and funds go toward Child Nutrition staff wages. Please note that you are not taking food away from someone who needs it more – we have plenty to go around!
