Easley Weekly Update
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE COMING WEEK
March 2, 2025
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is ready to get back into the swing of things!
Thank you to all our parents and community members who participated in our Black History Read-In last week. We had an excellent turnout and our student really enjoyed the guest readers and the books they shared. I want to give an additional shoutout to Mrs. Hartley for her awesome organization and planning.
Apex Fundraiser
This week will will continue to have the Apex Team on campus teaching our students that Future Leaders are grateful, kind, and respectful to our peers and those with more experience like our teachers and parents. Ask your child what leadership lesson they learn each day! The Apex team will be putting on the Remix on Thursday, March 6th to celebrate everything they learn and the money we raise! The students will be participating in the Remix during their normally scheduled specials time for anyone who wishes to see what it's all about.
Students are aiming to get pledges from 10 sponsors to help raise money for the school, and they are earning thank you gifts for their pledges. On average students complete between 26 and 36 fitness moves with 36 being the most they can get credit for, and a minimum entered of 26 moves. So, if a pledge is made for $1 per fitness move, the donation should be around 30 dollars. To donate, please check out your student’s “Apex VIP Badge” that was sent home earlier last week. All instructions are inside. Just go to www.myapexevent.com and use your student’s special “access code” printed on their VIP Badge to log in and enter your pledges. If you cannot find your code, just email info@apexleadershipco.com. This helps the school and helps us keep track of pledges. Thanks so much and have a wonderful day.
ACTION NEEDED - Planning for Next Year
We are currently in the process of planning for next school year. In doing so, we need to have an accurate count of the number of students who are planning to return to Easley next school year (2025-2026). Accurate student numbers will ensure that we do not lose teaching staff and instructional positions. Thus, your participation in this brief survey is very important! We have also included a section for you to provide any information you think we need to know about your child when making class placements for next year. Please do not make requests for specific teachers. The only exception is if an older child had a teacher and you would like us to consider placing the sibling with the same teacher, or not. We do our bests to honor sibling requests, but please know there is no guarantee as we have a very involved process for creating classroom rosters. Please complete this survey by Friday, March 7th. Thank you!
