For a quarter of a century, our district has been represented by the Westside StarMan logo. When this logo was introduced in 1999, it was not the first emblem to represent our innovative district it was the fifth; however, over the last 25 years, StarMan has lost clarity and purpose. In an effort to ensure clear vision and communication, especially as we enter Phase 2 of bond work, we are excited to introduce a new district-level logo to represent all of Westside Community Schools.

Our new Westside Star represents Westside Community Schools and all we stand for - community, innovation, and excellence. In our official logo, you'll notice how the star is bursting out of the box - like we often encourage our students to think outside of the box. Our W is rooted at the bottom in our tradition and history, and still reaching to the top, striving for excellence. The box around the star is open, representing our community, which is welcoming and open to all.

All of our schools will still maintain their individual logos and mascots. The red W is here to stay, and belongs with our Westside Warriors. Watch this video to hear more about the logo, we're so excited to share with you.

Westside Community Schools Logo Reveal

Over the next several months you'll notice StarMan being replaced with our new Westside Star. Know that StarMan holds an important place in our history at Westside Community Schools, and will not be forgotten. We're grateful to the innovative team that was courageous enough to bring StarMan to life at a time when school districts didn't prioritize organizational identities.

We look forward to seeing you soon at school and in the community.
