Dear Sabre Families,
I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy the beautiful Sunday weather as we approach the final week of May.
To our graduating 2020 families, a detailed message will be sent out to you at the end of this week that will outline the process on how to sign up your child to pick up their cap and gown, to walk the 'stage' and how they are going to be receiving their diploma package. Also included, will be the public health measures we are taking at Sal to ensure we are meeting the safety guidelines of Alberta Health Services. As in the past, we are hoping to include ideas about the graduating classes theme week and grad song.
As a reminder, graduation ceremonies will be held from June 22 to June 24, 2020 at Sal with times throughout the day for family to come and celebrate the accomplishments of our Sabre graduates.
On another note and in true Sabre style, we have former students who are current University students who have offered support and tutorial services, free of charge, during this time. If you are interested in this additional support for your child, please email me at sunny.sandhu@eips.ca and I will coordinate accordingly.
Looking ahead, we are having our final School Council meeting next Tuesday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m. . At our last meeting in early May, via Google meet we had the most parent attendance in recent memory and hope to continue with the parent engagement moving forward.
