Dear Families,

We are looking forward to seeing you all virtually for our Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences this Thursday, March 7, 2024.

This day is a 1/2 day of school with early dismissal.

Please take the time to meet with your child's teacher to discuss their wonderful strengths and assets as well as create a plan for areas of future growth. The special area teachers Zoom links will be posted on Class Tag.

Your child's report card will be posted on their NYSCA - https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/

The 23-24 Parent School Survey is now open from February 12 - April 5, 2024. Ms. Flores will provide you with a code and you will be able to take the survey online https://www.schools.nyc.gov/about-us/reports/school-quality/nyc-school-survey or via paper. The first class on each grade level to achieve 100% survey completion receives an ice cream or pizza party from the PTA. This is a great way for you to show how much you value our school and we so appreciate your time in completing this survey. Thank you.

We will be selling chips and cookies during the lunch periods Mondays to Thursdays for $1.00.

We will be selling ice cream to students for $2.00 each on Fridays. There is an assortment of non-dairy and dairy options.

K-5 dismissal:

Kindergarten and Grade 3 - 11:05 am

First Grade and Grade 4 - 11:10 am

Second Grade and Grade 5 - 11:15 am

Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences via Zoom:

12:20 pm – 2:20 pm and 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

This letter is to notify you that, our school, P.S.212 has been designated for Local Support and Improvement (LSI) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for the 2023-24 school year based on the performance of our students on New York State assessments in school year 2022-23. The designation “Local Support and Improvement (LSI),” recognizes that all schools, even higher performing schools like ours, are in a continuous improvement mode and can benefit from local support from their districts to meet students’ differentiated needs. LSI is the best accountability status currently available. The school’s designation is part of the state’s accountability system consistent with federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requirements.

I’m confident that the programs and interventions that are being implemented citywide and at our school will continue to make the 2023-24 school year a high-quality educational experience for your child.
