McDermoth Library gets a makeover
Librarian Jenny Floch introduces McDermoth Elementary School students to their reorganized library as members of the McDermoth Library Reset Team look on. The Reset Team has been coming to school early every day and reorganized thousands of books to their new locations. It was all part of a larger project that also saw new murals for the walls by Aberdeen High School artist Ezri Carroll. The library has been closed until the big reveal on Friday.
Ten years ago, Ezri , pictured above, helped her grandmother paint the mural you see on the wall behind her in the library at McDermoth. Now a senior at Aberdeen High School, she returned to paint beloved children's book characters on every wall. McDermoth students got to chat with her at the unveiling on Friday.
