Westmoor Weekly 11/22/24
November 22, 2024
A Note from Principal Eck
Dear Westmoor Families,
Winter is starting to make its presence felt at Westmoor. Our Bulldog packs created snowmen that showcase each group's unique style and creativity. These snowmen will be proudly displayed during our Winter Sing.
As Thanksgiving week approaches, our staff would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation for our students and their families. The partnership we share with you is truly valued, and we do not take it for granted. We wish you a joyful and restful holiday filled with quality time spent with loved ones.
See you back at school on Monday, December 2nd.

Winter Sing & Art Show - Grades 1st through 4th
We have been working very hard this fall in art and music to create a performance for you. This year’s program is on Friday, December 6, and will feature students’ art, singing, dancing, and instruments. All songs and artwork are inspired by the children’s literature seen below.
Please enter at Door D near the large gym. The doors will open fifteen minutes before each performance. Enjoy the music and look for your child’s artwork displayed after.
9:15 - Grades 1-2 “Snowmen at Night” Concert & Art Show
10:15 - Grades 3-4 “First Snow” Concert & Art Show
Cold Weather and Snow are here!
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. The District 28 weather policy is: Students go outside for recess mid-morning, lunch, and afternoon every day as long as the "feels like" temperature is above 10 degrees. Some days in the morning, it will not be warm enough to be outside, but by lunch recess it will have warmed up. Please send your student daily with the items they will need throughout the day. The students also have lockers so if it is easier to keep an extra pair of these items here at school, feel free to do that too! Winter has rapidly descended upon us, students must have boots, snow pants, and gloves to play in the snow.
