The Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy is proudly collecting donated items we plan on delivering to local homeless shelters in Delaware. If you are interested in helping, please pick an item off the Giving Tree in the main hallway. A list of items can also be found in the flyer above. No items need to be wrapped and we are asking that all items are donated by 12/16 in the collection bins which will be located next to the Giving Tree and the cafeteria. Please hand any fiscal donation to Trish Williams by 12/16. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Reynolds, Mr. Jermaine Williams, or Nick Schaefer!
Please review the Equity Professional Learning Catalog and select your professional learning session(s) offered by our very own staff members. The catalog provides a brief overview of the sessions and registration information. We are looking forward to staff members having positive experiences and growing their professional knowledge and skills within the equity framework. A special thanks to all staff members facilitating the sessions. A reminder that snow hours will be awarded to after school facilitators and participants. St. Georges Tech Holiday Door Decorating-The People's Choice Edition 2019: We want to get the larger SG Community involved in judging the doors this year, while also highlighting the hard work that each class puts into spreading holiday cheer in our hallways. Incorporate your content area into door decorating, and submit a few sentence description on why you chose your theme and how it relates to your content area. This written description along with up to 3 photos of your door will be posted online for viewers to "like. "Whoever has the most "likes" will win the prestigious People's Champ Title along with a sweet treat for your class/classes that participated. You can choose to take the photos yourself and submit them or Student Activities can take the photos of the door for you. (Reason you may wish to take photos yourself: if you have certain areas of the door you want to highlight/zoom in on or even showcase students making the door). You may set up anytime and the deadline for photo/s and description of how the door relates to your content are due to Student Activities by Tuesday, 12/17 by 6pm. (If you want Student Activities to take the photos, please communicate that with Jamie). Photos will be posted online Wednesday, 12/18 and voting will conclude Wednesday at 6 pm. All doors should be cleaned up prior to leaving for winter break on 12/20. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask Jamie Williams!

Please see the email below from two employess of the NCC Paramedics praising one of our EMS students:
Lt Mccolley,
Just wanted to send a good note about my St Georges student from tonight's shift (11/22/19). I had Arianna Mason for the first time and I was very pleased with the way she presented herself. She was very vocal and asked a lot of questions about EMS related topics that related to our runs from tonight. She was also overall very polite. She openly asked to be hands on with assessments and was receptive to us teaching her how to perform certain tasks. I just wanted to share so you can pass along to her instructor.

Avast Ye Shipmates! This Buccaneer Received a Shout Out!
"A special thanks to our Nurse Tech instructors for facilitating a fabulous pinning ceremony on Thursday evening. The ceremony recognized the Class of 2020 CNAs and took them on a walk down memory lane as they reflected on their productive time together in Nurse Technology. Also, a shout out to Megan Slocomb and Stephanie Britz for their contributions to our NT clinical program. Without you, none of our students would be CNAs!" ~Chad Harrison
"The Trauma-Informed Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff for participating in the Brain Architecture Game. There were a lot of moving parts to complete the game and the engagement we witnessed was truly encouraging, considering the overall heaviness of the topic, and for that we thank you! The winning group was GROUP #1 with a structure of 28 inches in height and 5 total weights. Great job Jessica Bell, Neena Burnett, Gin Conard, Dustin Craighton and Jackie Czachorowski!" ~Hillary Rickner
"Sending big thanks to Jamie Williams for not only helping me to organize for our parent speaker on Wednesday night but also for staying in the hallway to guide parents in the right direction (while a basketball game was going on) and then checking in with me after the event in order to see if I needed anything else. I really appreciate Jamie going ‘above and beyond’." ~Dave Jezyk
"Thank you to Friday's professional learning facilitators. I appreciate your ability to take risks and provide learning on topics that are not typically covered in education. Your presentations are in alignment with keeping equity at the heart of our services and support we provide our students to be successful. Finally, I thank the staff for your passionate participation and I am truly looking forward to seeing how your takeaways are implemented into your professional practices." ~Shanta Reynolds
