Dear Dewey Middle School Families,

Spring is in full swing, and the energy in our building is contagious! April brings a renewed focus on learning as we begin the final stretch of the school year. Our students and staff are working hard, and I’m proud of the growth we've seen both in and out of the classroom.

State testing is soon and we’re committed to supporting our students as they demonstrate all they've learned this year. Please encourage your child to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and give their best effort.

Upcoming Events & Important Dates

📅 No School – Friday, April 18, 2025 - Good Friday

📅 State Testing - Please avoid scheduling Doctor/Dentist and other appointments during state testing times. Students must arrive on time (8:15) to enter their testing session. Most students will complete testing by 12:00 PM.

• 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade English/Language Arts - Wednesday, April 16
• 8th Grade Writing - Thursday, April 17
• 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Math - Wednesday, April 23
• 8th Grade Science - Wednesday, April 30

📅 Middle School Awards Assembly - Tuesday, May 13, 8:30 AM, Auditorium

📅 Semester Tests - Even Hours - Wednesday, May 14

Odd Hours - Thursday, May 15
