Foundation 4ward
April 9, 2024
We are Foundation 4ward!
A word from Senior Executive Director, Aaron Lupuloff
We look forward to seeing you embrace our amazing athlete inductees and listening to Rich McKay, the CEO of our Atlanta Falcons on May 2, 2024. Pick a Professional Sport: Football, Basketball or Baseball and it will be represented at our event. And did I tell you that a Hall of Fame Coach and the individual who holds the most Georgia High School Championships are also being honored? To make our evening even better, there will be a live auction of Hisense Electronics and a Surprise Inductee.
Thank you in advance for supporting the only fundraiser for www.gcps-foundation.org.
RISE UP!

Hope thru Soap
The GCPS Foundation has the privilege of partnering with Hope thru Soap on monthly events that provide vital resources to Gwinnett County! These events are hosted at GCPS schools, increasing the accessibility for our students and GCPS families. Hope thru Soap provides services for individuals who experience homelessness and poverty. “Hope thru Soap takes more than just the basic needs of hygiene, clothing, and food, but along with it a fun ‘block party’ that gives guests a sense of family, friendship, hope and dignity.” -HopethruSoap.com
See below for photos and a recap of the March Hope thru Soap event!
March’s Hope thru Soap event was another great success! Volunteers from Sugar Hill Church joined the Hope thru Soap team, and attendees had access to resources from the Gwinnett Coalition and CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort.) There was a food pantry, free clothing, mobile showers, and free drinks provided by Keurig Dr. Pepper, Norcross! The NFL Alumni GA Chapter signed autographs and took pictures, while Los Panchos handed out free tacos. The GCPS Foundation continues to provide free backpacks, various school supplies, and reusable tumblers to all Hope thru Soap events. We are so grateful for the volunteers that ensure Gwinnett County families have access to these vital resources!
Give your $24 in '24
The GCPS Foundation is embracing our $24 in ’24 giving campaign! Starting this month, we are encouraging employees to donate $24 a month as a part of their payroll deductions. These donations can be designated to any of our 50+ funds! There is a gift designation that supports almost anyone’s goals, initiatives, or mission. This ranges from a specific school or cluster to Hope thru Soap, who provide mobile showers to the community. We encourage our Board members and community to join in this fundraising endeavor and support us in pushing 4ward!
Fund of the Month - Book Mobile
School Library Month
School Library Month is the American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) celebration of school librarians and school libraries! Every April, school librarians host activities that celebrate the essential role that strong school libraries play in transforming learning. The seemingly endless amount of resources and information can foster a love for reading and learning!
Donate here to the GCPS Book Mobile program!
The mission of the GCPS Book Mobile program is to put books into the hands of children! We support this mission with both a school year and a summer program. The two Book Mobiles are filled with more than 4,200 books, including PreK through grade 12 and bilingual books. The mobile library is staffed with media specialists who help students find books that best match their age and interests. With 100 stops per week, students in Gwinnett can check out books to continue reading in all summer!
