WCMS Principal Earns "Go The Extra Mile" Award for December
Wolfe City Middle School Principal April Bellows earned the "Go The Extra Mile" Award for December 2024. Mrs. Bellows has made great strides in enhancing the middle school experience and creating opportunities for growth and success.
During the first semester, Wolfe City Middle School has seen an increase in daily average attendance rates as well as the implementation of new Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes that provide students with pathways for success.
Through Capturing Kids' Hearts, an initiative aimed at building strong relationships and a positive campus climate, Mrs. Bellows has encouraged an environment where students feel valued and supported. The positive impact of Mrs. Bellows’ leadership extends beyond the classroom. Wolfe City Middle School students have embraced community involvement, donating items for local bingo nights, crafting holiday cards for troops overseas, and contributing toys for children in need during the holiday season. The junior news crew has also emerged as a vital part of campus life, creatively informing the community about school events and achievements.
Mrs. Bellows attributes the success of Wolfe City Middle School to the “amazing staff,” who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of students. She remains steadfast in her dedication to the school’s mission of doing better for every child, every day. Reflecting on her philosophy, Mrs. Bellows shared an inspirational quote: “Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions be louder than your words.” Thank you Mrs. Bellows for always Going The Extra Mile!

Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) Update
The TSL Committee has scheduled dates for the spring semester. At the end of the fall semester, the committee met to review data from The Landscape Analysis. The analysis contained over 150 artifacts including lesson plans, instructional documents, CCMR surveys, coaching and PLC protocols, and a talent and recruitment survey. Wolfe City ISD appreciates the community for coming together to provide their feedback and support through answering surveys, welcoming us into the classrooms, and submitting artifacts for analysis. The steering committee reviewed this data along with the district's accountability data and identified root causes for celebrations and areas of opportunity. In the spring, the steer committee will work together to design student outcome goals, strategic priorities, and aligned initiatives. By April, the strategic plan will be complete and ready to be fully implemented.

CKH November Affirmation Goes to Terry Callaway
Wolfe City ISD would like to acknowledge Terry Callaway, whose diligent work this semester has been instrumental in bringing the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program to the district. TIA, a recruitment and retention tool, recognizes and rewards high-performing teachers for their dedication and hard work. This program aligns with the district's commitment to ensuring that students receive quality instruction from the best classroom teachers. Mrs. Callaway has tirelessly focused on the planning stages of TIA, and her forward-thinking approach have placed Wolfe City ISD ahead of schedule. Mrs. Callaway has taken on this task without complaint while still wearing all of the other "hats" she wears for our small district. The Teacher Incentive Allotment is designed to honor the hard work of educators by providing financial incentives that reflect their significant impact on student achievement. By adopting this program, Wolfe City ISD aims to attract and retain top-tier teaching talent, ensuring a brighter future for all students in the district. Thank you Mrs. Callaway! We appreciate everything you have done to make this program a reality for our teachers and students!
