Summer is here and we are teaching, learning, and growing together! Our students are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us

Fourth of July Activities

Our classrooms will be working on festive activities in honor of Independence Day all week long. Let’s wear our red, white, and blue on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July.

Water Play Days

Monday - Intermediate

Tuesday – Beginners

Wednesday – Toddler 2

Friday - Pre-K & Pre-K 2

When it is your child’s designated Water Play Day please bring them to school dressed in their swimwear. All children need to have water shoes in order to participate in Water Play Day. Be sure to apply sunscreen at home before coming to school on Water Play Days. Also, please send a change of clothes and a towel in a water resistant bag so that at the completion of water play we can get your child in dry clothes and place the wet ones in the bag. If the weather is not cooperating on your child’s water play day still send them in their swimwear, we will try to go out if the weather breaks and if it doesn’t then we will have a beach party in the classroom! This is one of our favorite summer time activities! I'm sure that everyone will have a wonderful time playing in the water!

Safe Foot Wear

Please keep in mind that the safest shoes for children to wear at school are tennis shoes. Open-toe shoes may not be worn to school. This policy is stated in our Parent Handbook under the Personal Belongings/Clothing section. Please do not allow children to wear flip-flops or open-toed sandals to school. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but our main objective is to protect the children.

Link 2 Home App

We know that summer is a busy time for our families. We want to communicate school happenings as clearly as possible to ensure that no one is left out. Daily reports are sent via email each day, but our Links 2 Home app keeps all school communications in one place and is always accessible. The app also allows you to communicate absences to your child's teacher, leave drop-off notes, and read school notes in detail. We encourage you to visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app today. You will need to login with the email address you use for Alma. Please let us know if you have any issues.

Family Referral Bonus & Open House

Do you know a colleague who has recently had a baby, a friend in need of care who just relocated to the area, or a family member who is seeking a new preschool for their child? Invite them to our Open House on Saturday, August 3rd. When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!

Reminders

* We are closed on Thursday July 4th for Independence Day and August 16th for teacher in-service day.

* Don’t forget to check your child’s cubby each day for important information from their teachers and the office.

* Parking Lot Safety - Remember to drive slowly and cautiously through our parking lots. There are several small children and their families in the parking lot throughout the day and we want to be sure that everyone is safe! In addition, please so not leave children in the car unattended. It is also important that you do not leave your car running while in our school.

* All meals are provided, please do send your child to school with outside food unless previously approved in Toddler 2 and older.
