Doc Talk
We are gearing up for hexter 2 to start on Monday! Please remember that it is a half day. There will also be no opportunity center attendance on Monday.
Congratulations to our hexter 1 foundations students that passed! We would also like to welcome our hexter 2 foundations students!
October 17th is going to be an altered schedule. We are going to the Denver Performing Arts Center, so please make plans and adjust accordingly. Permission slips will be sent out soon. Everyone will be responsible for coordinating their own transportation on this day. For now, this field trip is only mandatory for Discovery students not in the opportunity center or foundations.
Stay tuned for night school sign-up coming soon!

Last Week of Hexter 1 Highlights
This is another busy week for our students! It is finals week and the heat is on for all of our students, especially our Foundations class. We have five possible students joining us in hexter 2 from foundations and we wish them the best!
Yes- this picture is from last week; but, I love it so much!
Scientific Writing Class Finals
These are the finished rollercoasters built in Mr. Wadsworth and Mrs. Thomas' combined scientific writing and technology class!
Phoenix News Network
Yearbook has created their second episode for the Phoenix News Network! It is super punny and original!
Night School Update
Night School still has three weeks left in their class since it goes by quarters instead of hexters. In this picture, students are getting into the spooky mood to brainstorm for their stories!
The students are currently working on writing their own horror story/film! Stay tuned for the end of the quarter to see snapshots on what stories they have created.
STUCO Wrap-Up
Student Council has been extremely busy this hexter with kickstarting our new snack purchasing system! Students are now able to purchase $5 or $10 snack cards in the office using a credit/debit card. All sales go straight to the student council bank.
*If you would like to donate to Student Council, please call the main office at 719-391-3121!*
They have also been managing our hydroponic garden system! They are growing flowers and lettuce. They are about a month from their first harvest of lettuce!
Building our parade float is also a top priority on their list. For hexter 2, Mrs. Myers will be taking over Student Council and helping them navigate their activities!
