GoFan tickets with the QR code can now be printed from your confirmation email. Bring the printed ticket to the event to be scanned at the door. Attendance
All questions or concerns regarding attendance/absences should be directed to Carli Cherek at cherekc@mcfsd.org or 608-838-3166 x4762.
There are three ways to report your student's absence, appointment, leaving early/arriving late:
- Enter your request directly into IC. (Instructions) -
- If you are concerned that the office staff is not receiving your IC absence request, please make sure you allow notifications for the Infinite Campus app on your phone. Once the IC request is processed you will get a notification.
- Call the attendance line directly at 608-838-4657 and leave a message. These are sent directly to our email, so we see them in real time.

Health Services
Self Carry Emergency Medication
Students ARE NOT permitted to SELF CARRY any medication with the exception of Emergency Medication (EpiPens & Inhalers) and with Physician signature and parent consent per Board Policy 5330. Consent forms required every year and are available here, in the health office and on the District website. Physicians are welcome to fax forms directly to your student’s school. Please complete and turn in consent forms to the Health Office. For questions, please reach out to MHS Health Assistant Susan Borchardt, Borchas@mcfsd.org or Stephanie Peplinski, District Nurse Peplins@mcfsd.org. Thank you for helping keep our students safe!

🎓McFarland School Board
Summary from the 11/20/23 School Board Meeting:
In addition to their regular duties of approving minutes, staffing, and expenses, here are some highlights from the meeting:
MHS student Joey Lewis from the MHS Connect Club provided a report from the MHS student body.
Director of Business, Jeff Mahoney spoke on the District’s 2024-25 budget calendar, gave an enrollment update, and shared information on the proposed operating referendum draft timeline.
Action items that were acted upon included:
The Board approved an annual meeting date of October 21, 2024.
MHS revised request for course(s) taken through the Start College Now and Early College Credit Programs.
One of the McFarland School Board’s biggest responsibilities is to set policy for the District. The October 23rd meeting included discussion and approval regarding policies that were recommended for rescinding and revision.

Athletics
Spartan Nation Update
Girls Basketball: Has started the season off strong with 2 conference wins over Edgewood and Sauk Prairie.
Boys Basketball: Had a tough non conference loss to Edgerton over the break.
Boys Hockey: Had a nice win over DeForest last weekend and a tough loss to Beaver Dam this weekend.
Girls Hockey: Participated well in a tournament in Fond du Lac this past weekend. They had 2 tough losses and are looking to rebound this Friday vs. Sun Prairie.
Boys Swimming: Has had a good start to the season they are getting ready for the Badger Small Relays on Dec. 5th.
Wrestling: Has had a good start to the season and are getting ready for their first Match vs. Beaver Dam this Friday.
- Dance: Had a very nice performance at our girls basketball game this past week and are getting ready for more halftime performances and upcoming competitions.
