NEW FACES AT OMRO HIGH SCHOOL
We have a few new faces here at Omro High this year and we think they will make a great addition to our Fox Family! Let me introduce you to three of our newest teachers, with more bios to come later in the week!
Mr. Doll- Health- "I am Mr. Doll, Middle School Physical Education, High School Health, as well as High School Football Coach. I will be entering my 4th full year as a Physical Education and Health Teacher. I enjoy many things outdoors including hiking with my fiancé, fishing, and golfing. I also enjoy working out, listening to audiobooks and hanging out with my nephew. I look forward to joining the Fox Family and helping to make a difference."
Mr. Garvens- English- "I grew up and went to school here in Omro. I graduated in 2009. I have taught at Winneconne and Little Chute but I am excited to start my 10th year as a Fox. In the last two years I got married, became a father to an adorable little boy and then we bought a house, so life is moving pretty fast lately but I love my little family. In my free time I never pass up a chance to hunt or fish. I dabble with woodworking during the winter months too. I make some pretty cool stuff when I have the time."
Mrs. Piper- Special Education- "Hello! I am Jessie Piper! I am excited to be joining the Fox Family and get to work with all the Families, students and staff here at Omro High School. I live in Omro with my husband and two boys, and we truly love the small-town charm that Omro embodies. In my free time I enjoy taking pictures and watching my boys play the sports they love."
When you see them, be sure say "Hi and Welcome to Omro!"
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
A Few Notes About Photo Day
~High School and Middle School students will be photographed on Friday, Sept 6. Meaning, we have to move quickly. You will be excused alphabetically by grade. You will proceed to the PAC to have your photo taken and you will then report back to class. You will not be allowed to wait for your friends, to dawdle in the hallways or go to the bathroom or your locker.
~You may not take your phone with you to the PAC, it needs to remain in the classroom.
~ Due to the large number of students who need to have their pictures taken on this day, we may run into lunch time. If you have not had your photo taken by your lunch time, you may eat lunch and then go right into the PAC to have your photo taken, and then return back to the lunchroom. The PAC will be CLOSED that day.
Picture Day is Coming!
Mark your calendars for Picture day and Picture Retake day!!
*Picture day is Friday, September 6, 2024.
*Retake day is scheduled for Thursday, October 7, 2024.

Can't wait to see those smiles!
Reminders About Gym During Lunch
Just a few reminders about being in the gym during lunch:
- Behavior expectations remain the same in the PAC as they are in the classroom.
- Inappropriate language and behaviors are not allowed and will result in you being removed for the next day. This includes tackling, rough, aggressive play, throwing balls at others, kicking balls across the gym and using profanity.
- You may NOT bring open food into the gym.
- EVERYONE needs to help clean up when the bell rings. It is not ok to just kick the balls to the corner of the gym for someone else to clean up.
- Nothing should be left in the gym, including water bottles, chips, trash...
- Always be safe.
- Remember, it is a PRIVILEGE to have the gym open during that time and if you wish to see it continue to be open, you need to be following all behavior expectations.
