Mariner Update Family Edition
Volume 14 Issue 27
Our gifts as educators, as parents, as Mariner brothers and sisters, our gifts are meant to be shared and used to benefit others; essentially, the purpose of receiving a gift is to give it away to others in service and love.
I love our school, do you love your school!
Building Confidence, Determination, and a Strong Self-Image in Our Students
Dear Staff and Mariner Families,
As we guide our students through their learning journeys, let us remind them of a simple but powerful truth—they have time. They are young, with endless opportunities ahead, and each step they take today is part of a lifelong path of growth, discovery, and success. Learning is not a race; it is a journey that unfolds at its own pace, and our role is to build them up with encouragement, reassurance, and unwavering belief in their potential.
Determination will be key as they learn and work toward their dreams. There will be challenges along the way, but we must remind them that perseverance is what turns obstacles into stepping stones. Every mistake is a lesson, every struggle is a chance to grow, and every effort they put in brings them closer to their goals. When we emphasize the power of determination, we help them develop the resilience they need to chase their dreams with confidence.
Just as important as determination is self-image—the way our students see themselves and believe in their own worth. Teaching children how to build themselves up throughout their lives is one of the greatest gifts we can give. Their inner voice should be one of strength, self-respect, and self-belief, so that when challenges arise, they have the positive lift they need to keep going. Through our words and actions, let’s teach them to embrace their uniqueness, to recognize their strengths, and to always speak to themselves with kindness.
Together, as educators and families, we have the opportunity to shape not just what our students learn, but how they see themselves and their future. Let’s continue to encourage them, uplift them, and remind them that they have everything within them to become all they dream to be.
With gratitude and commitment,
The Dedicated Admin Team

Celebrating Our Incredible Counseling Team!
I’d like to take a moment to highlight our amazing counselors, Mrs. Espinoza and Mrs. Santiago! Every day, they provide invaluable support to our students’ social and emotional well-being while also creating exciting, meaningful experiences that make school a place of joy and inspiration.
From Career Day to Kindness Week to our Outdoor Vehicle Career Day, they go above and beyond to bring special events to life. When we listen to students through empathy interviews, we hear time and time again that these unforgettable moments leave a lasting impact. A single event, like Vehicle Career Day, can be the spark that ignites a student's passion and sets them on a path toward something extraordinary.
This year’s event featured incredible professionals and vehicles, including Animal Control, Riverside County Emergency Medical Services, CAL Fire, Riverside County Fire Department, Riverside County Sheriff, Hemet Transportation, and more!
A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated counselors and dedicated parent volunteers for making this experience possible for our IHCS Family. Your efforts inspire, uplift, and open doors for our students every day! 🚒🚑🚓
Kindergarten Spotlight: The Letter G!
This week, our young readers and writers are focusing on the letter G! In the pictures below, you'll see how our kindergarten students are engaging with their learning—exploring the letter G through a pictorial of a goose and an interactive book that reinforces the letter throughout.
Also featured is some of our kindergarten writing in action! Mrs. Haacker’s class has filled Mrs. Barry’s office window with heartfelt Happy Birthday wishes and love for our incredible Assistant Principal. What a beautiful way for our students to practice their writing while showing appreciation!
Mrs. Barry, we are all so grateful for your leadership! Your dedication and kindness continue to impact our world in the best possible ways. 💜
