ROE Kindergarten - Week Sept. 16-20
A New Journey Begins!
ROE Rocks Family Night!
You will get to hear about our WatchDOGS program (with pizza - see Mrs. Corns' newsletter that was sent out Friday), visit your child's pod and hear about all the things that they will be doing throughout the year. Kindergarten teachers will be doing a "quick overview" every 15 minutes starting at 6:15 PM. Come by for one of our presentations to see what this year has in store.
Kindergarten sight words
Focus this week
restate and follow oral directions that involve a short, related sequence of actions.
Math-This week will be 2D shapes. Circle, triangle, rectangle and square (a special type of rectangle). We will continue subitizing numbers through the year and work up to subitizing to 10 so keep working on those too!
Science - We will discover our sense of touch and taste through simple investigations.
Social Studies- We will learn the importance of Patriot's Day. We will continue to learn what it means to be a good citizen in our community, home and school.
Birthdays
- Any food treats need to be "store bought". No homemade cupcakes/cookies.
- Our eating of these treats will not happen until the very end of the day. We try to have them close to 2:15PM. If you will please drop off any food items before noon. This way we have time to get them down to our room and know that we will be having additional food items for snack time.
