Important Information
Veteran's Day Assembly
Last call for pictures/slides for the Veteran's Day Assembly on Monday, November 11th @ 8:30 am. We are putting together a slideshow of veterans, currently serving and retired, who are family members or friends of our Cherokee community. Please use this link to create a slide for your veteran(s). If you submitted a photo in the past please double check if you need to update it. We would love to honor them during our assembly!
The oldest or only child of each family will be bringing home a paper copy of the Cherokee Cheetah Handbook today. This was linked in my beginning of the year welcome back letter and the Quick Links in my newsletter. There is so much information shared out at the beginning of the year that sometimes things can get lost in the shuffle, so we are sending a copy home as well. This document is your one stop shop for all information related to Cherokee!
Halloween Candy Collection- Drop off extra Halloween candy in the front lobby to donate to Fill a Heart 4 Kids by November 8th!

District 67 News
District 67 APT Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Food Drive kicks off on Monday, November 11, and runs through Friday, November 15.
Many people are struggling with food insecurity in Lake County. Please help us support these families in need this Thanksgiving. Donations will benefit Cool Ministries Food Pantry, North Chicago Community Partners, and Beacon Place.
Donation Items by Grade:
- EC/Kindergarten: Rice
- 1st: Canned Fruit
- 2nd: Canned Beans
- 3rd: Stuffing Mix
- 4th: Canned Vegetables
Please bring your donations to your school and deposit them in the bins at the front entrance of all buildings, 8:30 am-3:00 pm.

Join us for a panel discussion on Cherokee's 2023-2024 Illinois Report Card Results with Dr. Montgomery, Dr. Fitzsimmons, and Dr. Cavanaugh.

Thanksgiving Food Drive is this coming week- November 11-15.
See above what your grade has been asked to donate.
Drop off food items at the front door of Cherokee starting on Monday.
Our next APT Meeting will be on November 20 at 9:30 am. Dr. Montgomery, Dr. Renee Fitzsimmons and Dr. Cavanaugh will be addressing the Illinois Report Card at the meeting.
