Message from Principal Bob Carnaroli
As we get into the "realness" of school now with all the routines set in place, practices, meetings, homework, studying for tests, and all that comes with being in school it's easy to forget the simple things in our family lives. Especially our weekends!
I read this quote from Casey Huff this weekend and I thought it would be a good message for our staff, community and for me personally!
Somewhere along the way, weekends have become just two more days to hustle, over-schedule, and prep all the things for the week ahead. But when do we rest? When do we sleep in or sit in the sun chatting over coffee or read a few chapters of that book or flip pancakes at 10am or have a family movie night or play catch in the backyard? When do we get to just be the people we love, without a clock ticking in our ear or a list flooding our brains? I know it's unavoidable sometimes, but maybe we don't have to do all the things every single weekend. Maybe just sometimes, loving our family well is the only thing we really need to accomplish. - Casey Huff

ROTC Updates
This week in MCJROTC, our cadets have been hard at work deepening their understanding of both the program and the Marine Corps.
- LE I Cadets
gained valuable insight into the rank structure within MCJROTC, as well as the broader Marine Corps rank system.
- LE III Cadets
explored the crucial roles of Noncommissioned Officers and Officers, understanding their significance and responsibilities within the Corps.
- LE V and VII Cadets
focused on the rich traditions and historical importance of celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday, a time-honored event that reflects the pride and heritage of the Corps.
We also had a successful picture day, where our cadets looked sharp and ready to represent MCJROTC with pride.
Cadets were also briefed on two fantastic scholarship opportunities offered by the VFW. You should have received information about these scholarships; we encourage you to discuss these opportunities with your cadets.
In terms of physical fitness, our cadets were tested via an inventory PT test, and the results were outstanding! It's amazing to see how much they've improved since the beginning of the school year. They should be very proud of their hard work and dedication as should you.
Additionally, cadets were informed about an exciting upcoming event: our first-ever Service Academy Day here at North. Representatives from all five service academies will be present to share information about their prestigious institutions. We hope your cadet has conveyed our enthusiasm for this significant event.
Looking ahead to next week, we'll be conducting a review of the material cadets have learned over the first few weeks of school, culminating in our first test on Tuesday. Please note that Friday will be an early release day.
As always, you can see our schedule here. We are proud of what our cadets have accomplished so far and look forward to even more successes in the weeks to come.
