Veterans Day Breakfast
C.I.S. students welcomed 30 veterans to breakfast on November 8. Each veteran received a personalized thank you card written by students and a wonderful biscuit and gravy breakfast. We are so thankful for our veterans and the sacrifices they have made to protect our freedom.
Newsies
C.I.S. students will be previewing the C.H.S. production of Newsies on November 12. If you have not purchased your tickets yet for the performances on November 15-17, see the flyer for details.
Library Newsletter
Please note the Book Fair is next week, November 12-15. The family night is Thursday, November 14 from 4:00-6:00p.m.
Please also note the 5th Grade Fall Reading Fest is November 19 from 3:00-4:30p.m.
Study Island
We are very excited to have a program parents can use to help their child with learning at home. Please join us at 5:00p.m. on Thursday, November 14 at C.I.S. to get your child's login information and learn how to use the system. This is within the time frame as the Book Fair Family Night, so we are hoping you will spend the evening with us.
Musicals
We wanted to get the dates and times on your calendars as quickly as possible.
Please pay special attention to the dates and the grades. They are not in order chronologically. These performances are at the Performing Arts Center at the High School.
December 9 - 4th grade at 6:00p.m.
December 12 - 3rd grade at 6:00p.m.
December 12 - 5th grade at 7:00p.m.
Winter Assessment Information
We are sneaking up on our winter assessment windows so I wanted to make sure to get you the dates.
Week of December 2 - NWEA assessment week.
Week of December 9 - STAR assessment week.
Students will also have unit assessments in content areas the week of December 16.
Drinks in the classroom and meal times
This is just a reminder water is the only beverage allowed in the classroom. Water or juice only is allowed at meal times from home. Please make sure any additional drinks are finished prior to students arriving daily. Thank you for understanding.

November 27-29 - No School - Happy Thanksgiving!
