What Does The Fox Say?
September 26, 2024
Below, find a community letter " How Art Makes Me Happy" from Mr. Nigohosian, 3rd Grade Teacher.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
I wanted to take a moment to share my journey with art and how it brings me joy. Beyond teaching, my other passion in life is art—encompassing all its various forms. Since the age of three, I have been creating artworks featured in magazines, TV shows, restaurants, and galleries around the world. My art spans paintings, sculptures, and digital creations. I enjoy working with paints, clay, and recycled objects.
I want to share my passion with the community to highlight how the arts, in any form, provide a valuable way for students to express themselves, develop critical thinking skills, and foster creativity. By nurturing an environment that values exploration and creativity, you can inspire students to embrace a wide range of art materials.
Here are some fun tips to encourage students to experiment with different art materials:
Introduce Variety: Provide a range of materials, including both traditional (paints, pencils, clay) and unconventional (natural items, fabric, recycled materials). Let students explore what they like best.
Showcase Examples: Share examples of artists who use diverse materials in their work. Discuss how these choices impact their art and inspire students to think outside the box.
Encourage Collaboration: Promote group projects where students can share materials and ideas. Collaboration often leads to innovative uses of materials.
Offer Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate experimentation, regardless of the outcome. Highlighting effort and creativity can motivate students to keep trying new things.
Best regards,
Randall Nigohosian
3rd Grade Literacy Teacher

October Count - Attendance Counts for Funding!
- October Count is the official student membership headcount for all Colorado public school districts. When students are enrolled, scheduled and in attendance as of the official count day, the district receives an average of $8,400 in per pupil operating revenue. This submission accounts for 85% of the district’s funding. In turn, schools receive funding for each student fully enrolled and in attendance.
- Inspire Elementary needs all students to be on time and present every day during the October Count period. This year's count begins on September 24th and ends on October 8th. October Count is crucial as it determines our school’s funding. Your child’s attendance during this time directly impacts the resources we can provide to support their education.
