End of Year iReady Results

TSD students take a benchmark assessment, iReady, three times a year. Our end of the year results are in and WOW, our students showed some amazing growth in their reading and math! Please check out the beginning of year and end of year comparisons at this link. This is just one of many measures our staff uses to identify strengths and areas of growth for our instructional practices. However, we are super proud of our students. Way to go Bison!

Attention Incoming 6th Graders:

Bison Bridge Summer Program

This summer, from July 22-25th 8am-12pm, High Plains will be offering a 5th to 6th grade transition program, Bison Bridge. This wonderful program is for students (current or new) moving up to 6th grade for the 24-25 school year. Activities covered in this program include giving students a chance to reflect on their elementary times, learning middle school level skills, meeting teachers, learning the layout of the building, participating in scavenger hunts, winning prizes, reviewing middle school guidelines, and participating in a lot of team building activities. The final day will include an opportunity for parents to come meet with administration to ask questions about the upcoming school year. PTCO Volunteer Coordinator Needed

Are you a people person who isn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with a stranger? We’re looking for a volunteer coordinator to recruit helpers for events and activities and to help parents find the best way to plug in to our school community. If you’re enthusiastic and understanding of parents’ many time constraints, raise your hand and help us do even more great things for our school! PTCO President Needed:

We want YOU to be our next parent group president or co-president! After 3 years and turning to teaching, our current president would like to hand over the reins by the end of the school year. But, not to fear, Mrs. Schultz is more than willing to help to ensure a smooth transition. We’re looking for a creative problem-solver, someone who’s comfortable delegating and who has enthusiasm for our school.
